im working on a Hack which is using the 870 Patch which im also editing myself with movesets and everything else it needs the problem is ive hit a roadblock i want each route to only have 1 instance of a pokemon the roadblock is on allot of the routes most of the pokemon have like 4-5 different encounters i need help coming up with pokemon to replace the Duplicates which are similar strength once the romhack is nearer to completion ill be changing the route names but for now im still using routes 1-25 if anyone has any suggestions or even a list of some description it would be really appreciated :) plus ive tried to make a Signpost on Route 1 but it only has a jumble of letters

Bad pointer most likely. Rewriting the script will fix that, or fixing the pointer. If you're having troubles with the script, you can show us what you've got so far.

this signpost message is also in my hack if I don't assign any offset(0x00000000) to it after I used jpan's patch.but when I give signpost the pointer of my message then it works normally.
