2nd Gen Silver VS Gold...which is Better?

Well, Gold's sprites have faded colors. And silver's sprites have vivid colors.

Well, Silver is my overall favourite game, so I'm going with that one. I don't have much of a reason, except that I find it more fun to play than my Gold version (for some odd reason), and it was the first of the Metal generation games that I bought.

Now it's been mentioned, I actually prefer the sprites in Gold because of their poses, but still Silver all the way in my opinion =]

Well, Gold's sprites have faded colors. And silver's sprites have vivid colors.

It still doesn't make up for the fact that Ekans looks like a dead worm. "Vivid" colors or not.

I'm going to go with Gold, for personal reasons. Ever since my Silver version deleted itself (with my strongest and rarest pokemon on it), I've just disliked it ever since.

So yeah, I'm going with Gold.

Feraligatr's sprite in silver is kinda crappy. :S

But still, Silver has mostly better sprites, and it makes more sense to put Lugia in Whirl Islands instead of Tin Tower.

Huh? Lugia is in the Whirl Islands in both games. As is Ho-oh in the Tin Tower in both games.

You really should pick better sprites to compare, it's impossible to make a HootHoot look horrible. And I like Gold's HootHoot sprite. In fact I like most of the coloration Gold's sprites because they just look warmer than Sliver's.

Also, you forgot to compare Gold and Silver's Pikachu.

Fine. Coloring, whatever.

The Gold sprites are so much paler and duller than the Silver ones. I agree that they have a Gen I feel.

you can get ho-oh and lugia in both games, but personally i like gold, one reason because growlithe is coolier than vulpix

Yeah, you can get them in both, but in Silver Lugia has Aeroblast and in Gold, Ho-oh has Sacred Fire. Some people prefer one move and/or pokemon over the other for one reson or another.

I only had Gold for about a year and Silver for a few weeks, so I don´t have a real opinion.
But I had Gold longer so I like it better. (Although I think that Lugia is cooler than Ho-Oh.)

Yeah, I had Gold for like a month, so I didn't have an opinion. But, then I got it again and got an opinion because I beat it. Silver has some better points.(jeez my veiws on this keep changing!! XI)

Having the poll pretty much always an even 50%-50% is kind of annoying...
