It's for blissey. That's kind of the point of McIceGar-skarmbliss counter. But it falls to ice beam, so boah usually works a bit better. though gengar has speed and EQ / noraml resist.

hi guys.. newbie here...

can someone help me, im training my golbat to raise its defense. i've defeated 14 geodudes for total of plus 7 in defense. when my golbat leveled up, its defense stat only raised by 3, why is that?

Because all of it's EVs (the Effort Values) you get from the Geodude are only fully added when the Pokémon reaches Lv. 100. When it grows another level, it may go up by 3 or 4 again.

The results from EV training probably won't show up until Golbat's at a later level. Why would you train its Defense anyways? O_o

yeah you should train it in speed its defense sucks!

Hey Im not sure where to put this.... Where is a good place to train besides the elite four, a place where i can use the vs seeker.... No EVs needed...

East of Stark Mountain, in the Sandstorm on Route 228, you should see a female Ace Trainer near the entrance. Since she's got a Chansey, she makes for an excellent source of EXP.

Cool man thx... I've been looking for one for ages :D

Hi just wondering but can you bp power trick?

umm idk i don't think u can anyway.....

k so i have another question does any1 know where i can find a list of what pokemo are in what teir ,i've tried google and its not helping much...:/

Yeah I wanna know that too...

I breeded a charmander a few days ago and i noticed it had a modest nature. So i calculated it's IVs and this is what i got-

Charmander - #4 (Modest)
HP: 22 - 31
Att: 0 - 31
Def: 0 - 13
SpA: 26, 31
SpD: 0 - 31
Speed: 0 - 31

My question is, is it any good?

I have no idea. Do you know how IV calculators work? It looks like you just checked the stats at level 1.

Yeah i did checked its stats at lv1 since its on lv1. And now i dont know how they work.

Alright, I'll explain. IV calculators don't magically give you exact IV numbers. Rather, they guess based on the Pokemon's stats. Since IVs work in the same way that EVs do (the benefits are given on the way to level 100, not all at once), it's nearly impossible to tell a Pokemon's IVs at level 1. You'll need to level it up to a high enough level to get a good idea of its IVs. 25 is a good level to shoot for to get an average estimate (10 if you're using Rare Candies and Metalkid's Calculator).

There are a number of ways to get Pokemon to a good level.
*The most obvious is regular battling. However, this is tedious, and you have to keep track of every EV you gain, or else you'll throw off the calculations.
*Do an IV battle. Since WiFi sets every Pokemon's levels to 100, you can check their stats there. Simply plan an IV battle online, then plug the numbers into a good calculator.
*Last, the Rare Candy trick (my preference). Get a lot of Rare Candies (20 is a good amount), save, then use them to level the Poke up. This works best with Metalkid's Calculator. This is definitely what you'll want to go for if you own Emerald.
