Well it all depends on what type of moves your caturne knows. For example lets say your cacturne knows moves which are all of the cool type, if you enter this pokemon into any contest except cool it would fail really badly. You NEED to enter a contest which matches your cacturnes moves. To see this press start then pokemon go on any pokemon then summary and perss right untill you reach the "type of move" place. I also helps if you feed your pokemon blended berries which match the type of contest its entering :)

I really need help. i have a Cleffa in level 72 and it doesn't want to evolve. What do I do.

:t003:Dark Venusaur

Why on earth did you level up Cleffa to Lv72 in the first place?? Just curious. Apparently, your Cleffa is not happy enough to evolve or you have used cheats on your game and it is getting corrupted.

For the former, if you have Emerald, just feed your Poke Happiness berries (31-36) until it won't eat anymore. Then you can level it up and it will evolve. If you don't have Emerald, you will need to feed it vitamins, walk around with it (256 steps will increase 1 Happiness point), battle with it, and have it hold the Soothe Bell the whole time. If you have FRLG, trade it there and go see your rival's sister in Palet Town. After a certain amount of steps, she will groom your Cleffa and make it happy.

If your problem is the latter, nothing much you can do expect buy a new cart and stop cheating.

Good luck.

I've just traded an evee to my emerald from my leafgreen to get an Espeon.
I had to breed alot to get this evee so I dont want it to evlolve into Umbreon.
My question is: How do you make time pass on the clock in emerald?

The game has a clock that you set in the beginning of the game, so if you set it correctly, it will be the same time in the game that it is in real life. Time passes normally.

To evolve Eevee into Espeon, you need to evolve it between 12 noon and 12 midnight--yes, I know that's night time, but that's the time Eevee will evolve into Espeon in R/S/E. Don't ask me why, I don't know why they did it that way. :/ 12 midnight to 12 noon will give you Umbreon.

Hang, I always though that Espeon was in the day and Umbreon in the night. Is espeon day or night now?

How many happiness points does evee need to evolve into espoen?

an easy way of evolving eevee is by giving it stat points either by using Hp Ups, Calciums etc.

But sometimes that doesn't work. You have to like give it Pokeblocks and put it in battles.
Example:My level 72 Cleffa

:t003:Dark Venusaur

Vitamins will always work, but it can get expensive. Good Lord, I guess I need to put together a Happiness FAQ some day.

Okay, for Eevee to evolve into Espeon, it needs 220 Happiness points. The first thing you need to do is go visit the girl in Verdanturf Town (last house, bottom left) and have her look at your Poke. The phrases she tells you as determins how many Happiness points your Poke has. Here they are:

0 - 0 - "This is a little hard for me to say... Your Pokemon simply detests you. Doesn't that make you uncomfortable?" |
1-49 - "Its very wary. It has scary viciousness in its eyes. It doesn't like you much at all" |
50-99 - "Its not very used to you yet. It neither loves nor hates you"
100-149 - "Its getting used to you. It seems to believe in you"
150-199 - "It likes you quite a lot. It seems to want to be babied for a little"
200-249 - "It seems very happy. It obviously likes you a whole lot"
250-255 - "It adores you. It can't possibly love you any more. I even feel happy seeing it"

So, once you are in the 200 range, you know you are close. Feed it a few vitamins and then level it up and it will evolve.

How do you increase it's Happiness level, you ask? Good question! Here are some things you can do:

Walk 256 steps: +1 for all happiness values
Give vitimins: +5 in 0-99, +3 in 100-199, +2 in 200-254
Important battle: +3 in 0-99, +2 in 100-199, +1 in 200-254
Level Up: +5 in 0-99, +3 in 100-199, +2 in 200-254
Pokemon faints: -1 in all happiness values
Energypowder: -5 in 0-199, -10 in 200-249
Heal Powder: -5 in 0-199, -10 in 200-249
Energy Root: -10 in 0-199, -15 in 200-249
Revival Herb: -15 in 0-199, -29 in 200-249

So you can see, those nasty powder crap can really screw up your Happiness, which is good if you want to use Frustration, but why made your Pokemon hate you when you can max its Happiness and use Return instead?

A couple quick hints:

- Give your Poke the Soothe Bell to hold. It will increase the rate of gaining Happiness by 50%.
- Catching a Poke in a Gorgeous Ball and your Poke will earn twice the amount of Happiness points when leveling up, walking, or using them in an important battle.
- Any time you trade a Poke, its Happiness level goes back down to 70. Yes, even a maxed out Snorlax that uses Return. Ouch.

Now, some myths about Happiness that just are not true. The following things have NO affect on Happiness:

- Healing a weak Pokemon
- Giving it an item to hold (Soothe Bell is the exception)
- Putting a Poke in a PC
- Winning regular battles with a Poke
- Letting a Poke's HP reach a critical status
- Walking while your Poke has a status effect

Finally, Espeon evolves from noon to midnight because somehow that was determined "DAY", while Umbreon evolves from midnight to noon, since that was deemed "NIGHT". Crazy.

I can't really give you much advice. I think your best bet would be to train up your squad some more (preferably Manectric). My squad was around level 38 when I fought her and I think I used my Camerupt.

As for the Deoxys thing, I think this may be what your looking for. If not, just say so.

Hmmmmmm. Mr. Smile, I recall someone telling you that having too many Pokes of the same type would make you vulnerable. Hopefully you will take my advice to heart. It is good to see you have done a complete 180 on Ludicolo though.

Okay, saying "I told you so" might make me feel nice, but that doesn't help you. If you still have Water Pulse, you could give it to Lombre. Pack along Revives and Super Potion/Lemonade and you should be okay. If not, you can always go grab yourself a Ground or Rock Poke or fish for a Water Poke. You can find a Lv24-26 Wingull on Route 115 in the grass. You can find Solrock in Meteor Falls (Lv14-18 in the main area, Lv33-39 in the back areas). You can also find a Lv5-20 Geodude by using Rock Smash on Route 114. I believe you can get Trapinch and Sandshrew at Lv20-24 in the Desert Ruins as well. It will take time to level them up, but you won't need to be Lv30 in order to take care of type advantage.

BTW - Deoxys shape and stats change depending on what version you are using:

Normal Deoxys: Ruby/Sapphire
Attack Deoxys: FireRed
Defense Deoxys: LeafGreen
Speed Deoxys: Emerald

Now, if you were to trade Deoxys from FireRed to Emerald, it would change from the Attack for to the Speed form. You CANNOT have Attack Deoxys on Emerald. Hope that helps.

BTW II - I wish there wasn't anything I didn't know. I would be much richer right now. LOL

Thanks but three more things:
A) I've given it lots of happiness berries pomeg, kelpsy etc.. how many points does that give it?
B)I've given it lots of it fave type of pokeblock how many points does that get it?
C) When evee reaches 220 happiness points will it just evolve or do I have to raise it a lvl?

S'all good now i just got my Espeon. Dam it was worth it its sp. attack is mad without ev training yet! Just to say to anyone wondering yes its true they switched it around. Espeon is night now and Umbreon day. I got it while I was watching resivoir dogs. Dam Quentin Tarintino rocks!

I got a $35 action replay DS for my gba, but all it has is full pokedex, infinite money, and crappy things like that. How do you get pokes?
