Then GF discovered how badly the eReader sales did and took it out. Now you will only find Zubat in there. Extremely lame.

They both have the same base stat total, but Dusclops is better becuz it has two extremely high base stats, while Banettes highest is Attack, which is only 115. It is still good, but not good enough compared to Dusclops' Defense and Special Defense, which are both 130. Banette has higher HP, Speed, Attack, and Special Attack though. Dusclops is better competitively IMO, but Banette is better in-game, since all u do there is sweep.

Ummmm, why exactly are you answering a question here that wasn't even asked? You must have posted in the wrong thread.

It is the same as FR/LG's, Link Together With All.

I'm playing the Japanese version of Emerald(I'm playing on PC and can't obtain the English version, sob). Does anyone know the phrase in this version?

Also, what does the mystery gift do??

Moreover, does anyone know the Japanese phrases for the Berry Master's Wife to get the special berries? I tried to do the translation myself but it doesn't work and it's bugging me to no end =________=

Nuzleaf doesn't evolve by level.

you have to use a Leaf Stone on it to make it evolve.

but I recommend waiting 'til around Lv.50 so that it can learn all it's moves
before you evolve it.

You can find Green Shards held by wild Relicanth (5% chance) that you can take to the Shard Collector (Route 124) for Leaf Stones. You can also find one on Route 119, past the Weather Institute, across the bridge, and down the stairs.

What I dont understand. Can you explain clearer?

If you have finished Emerald, then you would have the National Pokedex. After defeating the E4, and after the credits roll, you end up back at your house. Once you leave your comfy abode, Prof. Birch ambushes you and takes you to his lab and upgrades your Pokedex to the National Pokedex.

The only thing I can think of is that either you truly haven't defeated the E4, or you have some crappy ROM/corrupted cart.

so if i get it in your pokedex will be written on*when you open it* national seen
ok so when i go to trade from E to XD it dosent work!!! i cant understand i really cant i hv done evrything correctly def.E4...argh

The only other thing I can think of is that you haven't gotten XD to the point where you can trade.

I have a few questions on Emerald. 11 of my Pokemon have Pokeviris or PkRS and I was wondering what is it and is it cureable. I want to change my main Pokemon party but I am scared to. Please help. Thank you.

The answer to the above question is that you need a Gameboy Advance, Gamecube and a Gameboy cable to transfer pokemon over from one game to another. The only problem is that you cannot transfer Shadow Pokemon. Hope this has helped.

The PokeRus doubles the EVs of the Pokemon possessing it. Its a good virus.

Not at all. Nintendo/GF added the Pokerus in the game as a bonus. When a Poke comes into contact with it, it becomes infected and is actually contageous for 24 hours. During that time you can infect the rest of the Pokes in your party. Then, you can deposit an infected Poke into your PC to preserve it so that when you catch more Pokes, you pull out the contageous Poke and infect them. Once a Poke has the virus, it has it forever.

The virus itself is a rare and great thing. Congrats. What it does is, as YoMoma touched on, is double the Effort Value points that your Poke earns during battle. If you are not familiar with EVs, let me explain. Every Pokemon in the game has an EV value of one of the six stats (HP, Atk, Def, SAtk, SDef, Spd) attached to it, and when you battle it, any Poke involved in the battle will earn that value in points. For example, a Zubat has an EV of Speed 1. That means every time you battle a Zubat, your Poke will earn one EV Speed point. Now, every time your Poke earns FOUR points in an EV stat, that stat will incrase by 1 the next time you level up.

Now you need to be aware that there are some limitations to EVs. You can only learn 255 EV points in any stat, and only 510 EV points total. That means that you can increase up to two stats by 63 points. That can be pretty significant, especially when you battle against the pathetic AI that doesn't accrue EV points, or against other trainers that aren't familiar with EV training, giving you an edge over them. That is how a properly EV-trained Lv70 regular Poke can defeat a Lv70 Legendary that has not been properly EV-trained.

So, after that lengthy explanation, here is how the Pokerus comes into play. In the example above regarding battling a Zubat, with a Poke infected with Pokerus, it will earn TWO EV Speed points. While that doesn't appear significant, you are actually doing your EV training in HALF the time. A better example would be if you battled a Golem. Without Pokerus, you earn three EV Defense points. With the virus though, your Poke earns SIX EV Defense points. This bonus also become more beneficial when your Poke is holding the Macho Brace. The Macho Brace acts like the virus, in doubling your EV points, but it has a negative effect that makes your Pokemon slower. So in the Golem example, with the virus and MB, your Poke will earn TWELVE EV Defense points. Now that, my friend, is easy EV training. Instead of having to battle Golem 84 times to get 252 EV Defense points, you only have to battle Golem 21 times. Hopefully, it hasn't been 24-hours already and you can keep an infected Poke in your PC to keep spreading the virus to your other Pokes. You lucky ducky.
