man ur lucky p. Mew.....do u kno where u got it from?

A pokemon gets an effort ribbon if your it's EV's are maxxed right? Because most of my pokemon have it. Also, if a pokemons EV's are maxxed, does it's stats increase randomly whenever it levels up after that or are they controlled?

Yes you get the Effort Ribbon when your Poke's EV training is maxed. If the Pokemon's stat is maxed, EV wise, then it will just increase normally when you level up.

BTW - Just remember that you cannot EV train a Lv100 Poke.

Ok thanks. But now that they're EV's are maxxed, what determines the increase in stats every time they level up?

I am not sure what you are asking. Every Poke has a pre-determined max figure in each stat when it hits Lv100. That figure is then divided up so that whenever a Poke levels up, its stats will increase that previously set amount.

Now, when you EV train, every time a Poke earns 4 EV points in a stat, the next time it levels up, it will be prorated into the previous calculation.

Yeah I know all about Ev training, it's easy as I have Macho Brace and Pokerus on nealy all of my pokemon.

What I'm asking is that (I'll use an example) my Tropius is Lv. 45 and has maxxed EV's. Apparently it can't be EV trained now. The last time it grew a level, it's stats increased by 2,1,1,1,2,2. I want to know if they are contolled by something (IV's or whatever) or if they're random.

I thought I just explained that. Okay, let's try it again. Let's say you start a new game and wisely select Mudkip as your starter. A Mudkip's HP stat is going to max out at 241 when it reaches Lv100. The game then takes those 241 and splits them up over 100 levels, prorated where it will get a lower increase in the beginning and larger increases towards the end. Now, every time you battle with a Poke, you earn the EV points in that stat, where they accumulate and every time you get 4 HP EVs, that point is prorated into the established equation. So, usually, when you level up a Poke that you are doing a lot of EV training on, you will see its stats increase more than normal. Once all your EV points are used, the 63 extra points have all been prorated into the equation and Mudkip's HP will now max at 304. Now, if Mudkip evolves into Marshtomp anytime during this process, its equation is thrown out the window and the new equation of Marshtomp's is added and then the EV points are prorated in and you have a new max, following the stats of Marshtomp.

I am sorry if I didn't explain it well enough before.

you need the key item Magma Emblem you can get it at
Mt.Ember the old lady gives it to you when she asks you to find
teams magma and aqua and retrieve the blue and red orbs.

Hey guys I'm thinking of Restarting my Sapphirre over again and I'm kind of torn on which starter to chose.

I chose Torchic last time so I don't think I'll go that route again...I kind of want a challenge in the game but I want my starter to be pretty strong at the end so which would you guys recommend? Treecko or Mudkip?

Treecko swampert kinda suks

i also have a question
were is a good place to train for the last badge?

All the better :D Gives me more of a challenge in balancing out the rest of my team.

I'm thinking of just caving in and getting Emerald version for the little differences.

Mudkip is a really good starter, because of it's dual water/ground type. Sceptile is really speedy, but is a little fragile. Blaziken is ugly to me, I've used it before but I prefer Swampert myself...

Choose Treecko if you want more of a challenge. Unlike the personal opinion of Rogue, Swampert is the best starter of all regions. It rips through all the gyms all by itself. Right now I am restarting my Ruby game over and over and making Secret Bases on my two Emerald games for EV training purposes. Swampert is by far the best choice to get through the game in the shortest amount of time. It only has one weakness (Grass), but has the defenses and can learn a great move (Ice Beam) to cover it. Torchic and Treecko do give you more of a challenge though, since good Ground-types are limited, especially early on. Mudkip gives you both a strong Water and Ground-type in one. Neither of the other two compare.

BTW - Definitely pick up Emerald. The difference are far from little.

What exactly is "SRing"?

At any rate, since Castform should use special attacks and not physical attacks, Modest works well.
