Wallace will reward it to you after you have gone to Sky Pillar and brought Rayquaza back to Sootopolis to calm down Groudon and Kyogre.

I read on serebii that I could get a pichu with surf from the pokemon box. . . it said put 1499 pokemon in the box meaning fill up all ur boxes ? sounds a lil crazy but even then how would doing that enable pichu to learn surf ? and another question, couldn't I just breed a pikachu with like an water pokemon like marill ?

No. Surf is not an Egg move for Pikachu. It is a special move that can only be learned in the way you described. Good luck with that.

It is 195. You need to trade 191 Pokes from the other games to fill out your Ruby Pokedex.

No... I don't mean all pokemon ever. I mean, there are 202 rse pokes total. Minus deoxys and jirachi for obvious reasons, 200. Minus lunatone, seviper, lotad, lombre, ludicolo... that's 195 right there. Can't trade for more starters, so the other 6 (2 + evos) are subtracted, 189... You have to choose between lileep/cradilly and anorith/armaldo, so minus 2, 187... Oh, you can't get latias or kyogre, 185... You have to choose between Delcatty and Wigglytuff because there's only one moon stone (and the only way to get more in rs is wild lunatone) so 184... Hmm. I know it goes down more. Help?

I'm just wondering...How do you tell EVs?
I'll help with questions

Hey you know who I should dive to people:(

I'm just wondering...How do you tell EVs?
I'll help with questions

How do you tell EVs? Like... how many each Poke gives out and to which stat, or how many a Poke already has? If the first, there are guides online available. And if the later... you really can't. I wish you could, actually. But if you think a Poke has unwanted EVs and you're not sure, then I would suggest just harvesting a poop load of the "Happiness" berries and lower each stat to no EVs, where you can start over afresh. Of course, keep your math up afterwards, so you don't lose count.

Kanto:

Do you mean who you should teach Dive to? Any water Poke who's not on your team. Just one water Poke (Wailmer is very easy to fish for) you can use for Dive, Waterfall, and Surf (granted you don't have a water Poke on your team, although Surf is the only good HM move for in-battles).

Remember to keep HM whores, never teach any Poke on your actual team an HM move unless it's Surf.

What could I do when training a poke to make its base stats go up when leveling besides the PKrs, Ive been using the macho brace but I think its not helping or is it?

What could I do when training a poke to make its base stats go up when leveling besides the PKrs, Ive been using the macho brace but I think its not helping or is it?

The Macho Brace doubles EVs which are Effort Values
The way they work is that per 4 EVs you get 1 extra stat in your stats, So if i vs. 4 Wigglytuffs who give me 3 EVs to HP ill get 12EV's OR 3 Extra Stats, What the macho brace does is it Doubles them so you'll get 24, which is 6 HP. (pretty good, no?)

You can only get 510 EVs With only 252 max allowed in each stat so 252 / 4 = 63 Extra Stats towards one of your stats, thats a huge jump. So you can have 2 maxed stats or 85 EVs into all stats which will give you an extra 20 in those stats.

If i was EV training a Tauros Which has the stats of + perfect IVs And A Jolly Nature:

HP: 291
ATT: 236
DEF: 226
SPD: 281
SA: 104
SD: 176

This Is The Tauros EV Trained with 252 EVs in attack and speed, 6 in HP.

HP: 292
ATT: 299
DEF: 226
SPD: 350
SA: 104
SD: 176

Look At That Boost in speed and attack, so yeah thats EVs

Also, could someone help me with IVs and teach me how to get perfect IVs because i cant find a good guide on the net.

how do you raise a pokemons happiness ?

This might help... its pretty basic actually.

Like EVs, a Pokémon's Happiness Rating is on a scale of 0-255. The higher the rating, the happier it is.

Here is the base Happiness Rating for all Pokémon:

0: Deoxys, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Lugia, Mewtwo, Rayquaza
1-49: Articuno, Absol, Aggron, Aron, Bagon, Banette, Beldum, Cacnea, Cacturne, Carvanha, Dragonair, Dragonite, Dratini, Dusclops, Duskull, Entei, Gardevoir, Houndoom, Houndour, Kirlia, Lairon, Larvitar, Metagross, Metang, Misdreavus, Moltres, Murkrow, Pupitar, Raikou, Ralts, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Sableye, Salamence, Sharpedo, Shelgon, Shuppet, Sneasel, Suicune, Tyranitar, Umbreon, Zapdos
50-99: All other Pokémon
100-149: Blissey, Celebi, Chansey, Clefable, Clefairy, Cleffa, Jirachi, Mew

**TIP: Any time you trade a Pokémon from one cart to another, its Happiness Rating will always default to 70. Don't forget that!**

You can also gauge how happy your Pokémon is by dropping by a house in Verdanturf. It can found in the the southwest corner of the little town. A young lady there will make a statement according to the Happiness Rating is of your lead Pokemon. Here are the phrases:

0: "This is a little hard for me to say…Your Pokémon simply detests you. Doesn't that make you uncomfortable?"
1-49: "It's very wary. It has scary viciousness in its eyes. It doesn't like you much at all."
50-99: "It's not very used to you yet. It neither loves nor hates you."
100-149: "It's getting used to you. It seems to believe in you."
150-199: "It likes you quite a lot. It seems to want to be babied for a little while."
200-249: "It seems very happy. It obviously likes you a whole lot."
250-255: "It adores you. It can't possibly love you any more. I even feel happy seeing it."

Here is how you can affect a Pokémon's Happiness Rating:

Walk 245 steps: +1 to Happiness Rating
Level Up: +5 when HR is 0-99, +3 when 100-199, +2 when 200-255
Vitamins: +5 when 0-99, +3 when 100-199, +2 when 200-255
Important Battle: +3 when 0-99, +2 when 100-199, +1 when 200-255
Pokémon Faints: -1 to Happiness Rating
Energypowder: -5 when 0-199, -10 when 200-255
Heal Powder: -5 when 0-199, -10 when 200-255
Energy Root: -10 when 0-199, -15 when 200-255
Revival Herb: -15 when 0-199, -29 when 200-255

**TIP – There are a few myths about things you can do to affect the HR that just aren't true. You cannot increase the Happiness Rating by healing a Pokémon, giving it an item to hold (not called Soothe Bell, which we will cover next), placing a Pokémon in the PC, winning wild battles, letting HP fall into the red, or walking around when your Pokémon has a status effect (i.e. sleep, poison, etc).**

You can also increase the Happiness points a Pokémon earns by catching it in a Gorgeous Ball or having it hold the Soothe Bell. Holding the Soothe Bell will increase the Happiness a Pokémon earns by 50%. Being caught in a Gorgeous Ball will DOUBLE the Happiness a Pokémon earns when it levels up, walks 245 steps, or wins an important battle.

Huntail/Gorebyss
Kingdra
Latias
Kyogre

Also, could someone help me with IVs and teach me how to get perfect IVs because i cant find a good guide on the net.
IVs are Individual Values that are randomly given to EVERY Poke in the game. The IV scale ranges from 0-31 for each stat, and is calculated of the base stats of a Lv100 Poke. Fore every IV point a Poke has in a particular stat, that stat will be a point higher. For example, a normal Lv100 Swampert with zero IVs has an Atk of 225. A Lv100 Swampert though with 31 Atk IVs will have an Atk of 256.

Calculating IVs can also be quite a pain since there is no true way to tell what a Pokes IVs are until it hits Lv100. The best you can really do is ballpark your stats within a point or two. Here is the calculation to use for all stats besides HP:

IV = ((Math.Celling (S / PV) - 5) * 100 /LV) - 2 * BS - Math.Floor (EP/4)

HP uses it own calculation:

HP IV = ((S - LV - 10) * 100 /LV) - 2 * BS - Math.Floor (EP/4)

If you are not good at math like me, you can also use online IV calculators or you can download Metalkid's offline program and use it like I do. I have found that there are two levels that can give you a good ballpark of what your Poke's IVs are. They are Lv20 and Lv50. Personally, I use Lv20 since I am an impatient man.

So now you know what IVs are and how they are calculated. The next step is using this information to your advantage through breeding. The best and easiest way to IV breed is through Emerald. There are many reasons for that. First and foremost is the fact that through breeding, 3 of the 6 IV stats the baby gets will be given through the parents. There are randomly chosen and the baby gets 2 stats from one parent and 1 stat from the other. In Emerald, those three stat will be unique, while in the other versions, the parents can pass on the same stat, meaning only 2 of the 6 stats were passed on. The other important reason is that in Emerald, the IVs of a baby are not calculated until the egg is taken from the Daycare Dude. In previous versions, it was set when the dude stepped out from the fence. This is huge since it allows you to save before taking the egg and then resetting it if the IVs aren't what you want them to be.

Here is how I breed:

- First I decide what nature I want my target Poke to be. Once that is chosen, I pull out a Ditto from my PC that is that nature (I have a full box of Ditto of every nature and each one is holding an Everstone). If there can be a female gender of my target Poke, I will immediately breed to get a female Poke with the proper nature. Remember that in Emerald, if you have Ditto or a female species hold an Everstone, you have a 50% chance that it will pass the nature on to the baby. Another HUGE advantage in Emerald.

- Once I have a female target Poke (or a Ditto) with the proper nature (and holding an Everstone), I then plan out movesets. If I need Egg moves passed on to the baby, I will do that first and then breed another female baby with the proper nature. If I need learned moves passed on, I will breed a male and female and then level them up until they both know the proper move and then breed another female baby with the proper nature. If I need TMs/HMs passed on to the baby, I will then breed a Poke that knows the proper TMs and then breed another female baby with the proper nature that has the correct moveset.

- Now that I have the nature and the moveset taken care of, it is time to breed. I deposit the male and female (or Ditto) into the DC and then ride the Acro Bike until the dude steps out with an egg. I take eggs and hatch them until I have at least 6 of each gender, if applicable. This is yet another HUGE advantage in Emerald. In Emerald, if you have a Poke in your party that has the Magma Armor or Flame Body Trait (i.e. Slugma), the steps needed to hatch an egg are practically cut in half. Hatching a Snorlax in less than 6000 steps is simply amazing. Anyway, for the males I don't care about anything but their IVs. The females though, must be the correct nature so I will release the bad natures and keep breeding until I have 6 healthy properly-natured females. I will also name each baby according to gender and generation. For example, the first male baby hatched will be named MA1. The second male will be MB1. The next generation will be MA2, and so on. This helps me keep track of my babies much easier.

- At this point I will save the game. The next step is IV calculation. I feed all six of my babies 15 Rare Candies each and then check their IVs. I write down each Poke's IVs on a spreadsheet and if one of the stats is 30-31, I will notate that Poke to check its Lv5 in a minute. After checking all the babies, I will reset the game. This is highly important as it saves you from wasting 90 Rare Candies, allowing you to check the IVs of the next 6 babies. Before I switch though I will look at the babies that had a 30-31 stat and write down what their stat is at Lv5. This will help me guesstimate later on.

- Once I have finished calculating the IVs, I will release all the babies that don't pass the grade and if there is a baby of the first generation that has better IVs than one of the parents that are in the DC, I will take out the parent and put the baby in its place. This concludes the first generation.

- Now the second generation begins and I repeat the whole process again and see if and of the second generation babies have better IVs than the parents in the DC. Lather, rinse, repeat.

- Once I have two parents (if applicable) with good IVs in the DC, I will then change my strategy. I will save the game when the dude steps out and then hatch the newly acquired egg. First, I make sure the gender/trait/nature are correct. If they are not I will reset, not take the egg and wait for the dude to step out again. If they are what I want I will then compare the Lv5 stats to the max stats that I had written down before. If the target stats match what I have written down, I will keep that baby. If they aren't close, I will reset and repeat. Once I have 6-12 "super babies", I will save and then feed each one 45 RCs and then see if their IVs are what I thought they would be. I then reset and release the bad and keep the good.

Through that process I typically end up with a baby Poke with VERY good IVs, especially in the stats that I want them to be. This concludes IVs 101.

I won't cheat. But I've read somewhere that in Lilycove's Contest Hall there is a girl who gives you Gorgeous Balls...It really was wrong...

Another question...In Mauville's Pokémon Center, there is a man who is talking all the time, but in another games I've seen more people...This man can be "changed" ?? And I've heard that in Lilycove's Pokémon Center there is some girls who ask you some questions and give you prizes, but I've only seen one girl who asked me for a Pokéblock...This girl can also be "changed" ?? How ?? Maybe mixing records ?? Thanks in advance ^^

lavaridge gym

in emerald, i'm having trouble getting through the warp tiles and to the gym leader flannery. i've seen maps on it, but they don't seem to make much sense to me at all! i feel a bit dumb posting this, but does anyone have a strategy to help me through? i just want my badge after all!

There are a few things in the game that depend on your TrainerID. One is the guy in Mauville and the other is the lady in Lilycove. The only change by mixing records is if the person you are mixing with has a TrainerID that ends in the same digit yours does. Then you will swap the information. The only way to "change" is to restart and obtain an ID that ends in a different digit.

Here is a map for you:

https://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/pokemon_emerald_lavaridge_warps.png

Basically, you start at the entrance, skip the first hole and go up to the other one (c). Circle around and you can avoid the double battle by taking the north hole (b) or you can battle and then take the bottom left hole (d). Again, you can avoid all the battles here by dropping down the top left hole (f). Take the top left hole again (g). Now take the hole nearest the middle (h). Walk right and take the first hole you see (i). You want to take the far bottom right hole (m) or you will have to start all over again. From here, you jump the ledge and through the hole to get to Flannery.

Delcatty/Wigglytuff (I added it though technically you can get more Moon Stones)

Hah. That's what I mean, yes. Thanks!! But how would you be able to get more moon stones? I can't figure it out for the life of me.

*runs off and saves list*

Wild Lunatone have a 5-10% chance of holding a Moon Stone. Either catch a bunch of them and see if any are holding them, or use the move Thief on them.

how do you get lugia/ho-oh is it only nintendo events? also is it really possible to get shiny starters and rayquaza/groudon/kyogre without cheating? and if lugia/ ho-oh are only nintendo event then how are we expected to finish our pokedexes

how do you get lugia/ho-oh is it only nintendo events?

Yes they are--or cheats =/

also is it really possible to get shiny starters and rayquaza/groudon/kyogre without cheating?

Yes, for starters, keep restarting before you get them and pick one out. If it isnt shiny, restart. Same goes for legendaries. First time you encounter them in battle will determine if theyre shiny. Save before u battle them and run up to them and press A. Even if they dont look shiny from the outside, the could be in battle. If not, restart and repeat.

and if lugia/ ho-oh are only nintendo event then how are we expected to finish our pokedexes

...uummm, go to the events? ...or cheat...

Lugia is in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, and Ho-Oh is in Pokemon Colosseum.

Both games are for the Gamecube.

Specifically speaking, to get Lugia you must capture him just before the final battle, and to get Ho-Oh you must beat Battle Mode's Mt. Battle with a story mode team (so yes, you can still trade Pokemon over to your story mode team; you just can't register them straight from your GBA if you want the chance at getting Ho-Oh). Upon defeating the 100th trainer, Ho-Oh is placed in your PC.

In other words, if the only Pokemon games you have are Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald (or even FireRed/LeafGreen with no access to a Mystic Ticket), then yes, as was said previously, the only way to obtain them is to cheat.
