How do I get the cut & rock smash HMs on Ruby? 0.o It might sound stupid, but hey, I'm stuck. XD

you get cut in rustboro, rock smash in mauville.

AR cheat system

how do u tell the vertion of cheat cartrage you have

I'm not sure how you would on the GSSP or any other cheat device, but for the AR, go to "Management" (or "Options." One or the other I guess...) and look in the upper-right corner for your version number.

There is something weird on my Ruby. I traded my Jirachi onto FireRed but it wouldn't let me trade my Deoxys over. Any theories why? By the way, I got them off an AR.

Deoxys and Mew have special coding in them--if you don't get them legitly (from a Nintendo Event or by cheating to get to the actual Island and catching them legitly), they will never obey and can't be traded at all.

trjessie is partially right. Although you can get them usign an AR, depending on the code you use, you may or may not be able to use it. Gameshark has similar problems, but as well, there are a few different codes you can use to get them. For example, the 'catch-this-pokemon-in-this-route' code might work, but the 'unlock-the-ability-to-go-to-this-place' code might not. You just have to release your pokemon and try again, probably with another code or device, and forever know that code wont work. Unless of course, you found a bypass code.

The strange thing is, both of them have always obeyed me. I picked up the Deoxys in the box at level 6 and the Jirachi at level 5 (Or the other way round)!

or you could use the warp codes to warp to their place and catch them there. also you could borrow someones gssp and emerald and use the last code i put on the em code thread. :D

You can use AR codes on the Gameshark for VBA. Just put them in and they should work fine.
