Simple Way to Give Money?

I probably missed this when I was trying to look through the wiki, but is there a simple command/event that can give a character more money? I know there's a 'Change Gold' option in the events section, but I don't think that's what I want.

So say my main character talked to another person who wanted to give me 500 Pokedollars, how would I add 500 Pokedollars to the current balance?

Or:

$Trainer.money = $Trainer.money+500

It's the same, the first is shorter.
