Simpsons new Opening

Its cool, I liked the whole higher quality thing they started now.

The TV at the end looks like they made it in Adobe Flash.

I preferred the older ones… I mean the way it looks like it was drawn on the computer takes away a personal touch. I mean I preferred it when it was drawn on a sketch board first. I don't like the length or the way they have all the characters squeezed in… makes it look messy, to me anyway.

Meh, I've seen better Intro's but It's so long and to many characters so It's a no for me.

I like the new titles the old ones were getting a bit outdated anyway.
I doubt they'll be as long as that each time, the original titles for The Simpsons were longer anyway, so these are likely to be cut back as well. Also I think what added to these was a longer than normal 'sofa gag.' But yeah I think the update is really cool.

The last part was just the sofa gag. It's probably the longest, but I doubt it will stay like that anyways.

Good opening actually. But my stupid computer isn't going good with audio and I couldn't hear the music ;_;

I thought it was cool, the part at the end where the tv falls and breaks made me laugh a lot for some reason.

The only problem I have with the opening is when Marge is in the grocery store and then she "loses" Maggie. But when she's in the shopping cart.. Marge just smiles. I liked her sigh of relief much better.

Anyway, about the actual opening. I do hope you know that it's not technically long. Just because one part of it (the couch part; which is different in every episode) is long, it doesn't mean the opening will always be that long (so proves the episode where Lisa gets a new best friend and makes her book of Equalia. The actual beginning is 1:00 long, then the couch scene. It's just like the previous version of the beginning.

I do also hope you know that they do show a 22 second beginning... but that isn't the actual full opening credits.

Thanks for explaining that to me. It makes so much more sense now.

I agree there, that is certainly the worst part.

Anyway, I do like the idea, but I sorta wish they just kept the old intro and updated the style. This one is too Jar Jar Binks for my tastes.

Some parts just seem out of place. Like the bit were Barney burps. I like the otto bit though. Trust me there are long couch gags. The one of the man eating sofas is an example.

It was a bit too long, the couch part certainly was just plain weird. But at least they got round to updating some of the scenes.

ehhh
i prefer the old ones but i wont hate on this.

Your lack of quality and flooding of quite a few threads is irritating me beyond no end. If you prefer the old opening credits, explain. If you don't have an exclamation to properly explain why you prefer the old ones, don't post. It's as simple as that.

Other Entertainment is not a place where you can up your post count, I do hope you know that. Since you're new, I won't give you an infraction. But know that I will be on the look of more horrible posts posted by you. I'm not one to take these type of posts lightly, as you can tell.

Okay, if an explanation is what you desire than an explaination is what you'll get.

I prefer the old ones because it's something that I.. shall I say, grew up with? I remember when I was a kid I was fascinated with the Simpsons because they were somewhat of a family that I could relate to and to be honest, I hate change. So I guess those two elements mixed into one makes for a dangerous combination with me.

I love the new intro. They made it vibrant & fresh to draw in a new crowd, yet stuck close enough to the original not upset those who grew up to the old. They struvk a rare balance.
