Diamond:

Ok, recent stuff. Built up a Regirock for the Tough contests, it's won through all the ranks but the Master Rank, which sucks because I keep getting beat by Johanna and her Kangaskhan. Tried to find a Turtwig on the GTS but people were asking for ridiculous trades for it, the most reasonable being a Granbull which I didn't think was worth it. Hey, if I can find a Chimchar holding a Liechi Berry, and all they wanted was a Delcatty, I think I can find a better trade for the Turtwig.

Oh well. My Pokedex building is going well. 432 seen, 388 caught, so I'm nicely on the way. I've just sent my Porygon2 forward, so PorygonZ is next on my list. I'm EV training an Ice Punch Sneasel, which reminds me I need to evolve that for my dex too. Tried chaining Pineco with my Emerald inserted, no shiny so far but I chained up to 11 so I'm doing reasonably well with that. In the meantime, all this walking is building up my Japanese Glameow's happiness.

Pearl

I'm quite a way into the game now, having concentrated more on Diamond. I'm levelling up Bronzor to a Bronzong, then I have something that can sit in front of Palkia and take hits while I try and capture it. My Quagsire has Water Absorb for it's Water Pulse, the rest of it's attacks can be neutralised by Bronzong. Almost got Aromatherapy on my male Roselia, so I can breed my Chansey when I get chance. I've found between Luxray and Staraptor's Intimidate, physical hits are effectively nulled, and Chansey can absorb special hits with Softboiled. I've got a nicely balanced team right now, just defeated the seventh gym, and building up a team to make my way to the summit of Mt Coronet and capture Palkia. My Infernape's doing well, just reached L44 after clearing all the wild Bronzor and Bronzong on my earlier trip through Coronet.
 
I went to the Battle Tower for the first time today, in the hopes of getting a Power Anklet. After battling for half an hour (although it felt so much longer), I got a 20-win streak, 6 BP, and found myself against the Tower Tycoon. He started out with Milotic, and I with Empoleon. I nearly beat Milotic, until he switched for Ryperior, which fell quickly to a Surf. He sent out Dragonite next, and finished off Empoleon. After easily taking out Infernape, I had no choice but to send out Torterra. He barely beat Dragonite, so a half dead Torterra was pitted against a near dead Milotic. Unfortunately, Milotic had the speed advantage, Torterra was dead, and I had wasted a good 45 minutes of my life.

I swear, when I get my Porygon-Z good and ready, I am so killing him.

I guess that could be the case, if it is that's the luckiest I've ever been in the game with shinies, that's 3 without a shiny patch that I've caught on this game.

I was lucky with the nature, I had a Jolly Synchronizer but my Fearligatr was in the front of my party, so it's not like the wild Pokemon were being effected by my Ralts that was like 4th in my party.

I'm probably going to either start breeding for the Shiny Treecko I'm on the hunt for, that'd be quite a lot of eggs to hatch, but I feel up to it... or start soft reseting for a Shiny Giratina... I'd like to have something different to add to my shiny collection. If not Giratina then when I get to him on Emerald Rayquaza... Then again I can never really stick to something in Pearl I just keep doing what I feel the need to, which for the time being is getting all my EV trained Pokemon up to level 50 so I can use them in the battle tower. What better way to multi-task than Chaining while leveling up? XD
 
You can get Ice Beam again from Veilstone Game Corner. In fact, more TMs are available multiple times in D/P than any other version, and some others are available from previous versions via Pal Park. One TM per cart doesn't mean you are limited to one TM overall.
 
I caught a few Phanpy and a Larvitar today while chaining. Best chains were two lots of 7 Phanpys... apart from that my highest still remains 11 Ponytas. I guess I'm finding it real hard

I've also been EV Training Omanyte in the process
 
Augh, I probaly had my unluckiest battle tower battle ever! (And my win streak was in the sixties too.. T_T)

That Mamoswine must've been on drugs to outspeed my Dragonite.
 
phew man ive been hunting shinies since 4:30 yesterday till now i so badly wanted a shiny bonsly i got a 40 chain of pachirisu and lost it after that i keep getting chains of 25 or lower and losing them sneasel are annoying to chain and so are chingling :P
oh and this is my fourth day of reseting for shiny spiritomb its hard :( :(
 
Mamoswine actually has the same base speed as Dragonite. Yeah, seems like once again there's a lot of hax in the Battle Tower, just like the old Battle Frontier.
 
I had no luck chaining Absol yesterday, questioned why West Seas Shellos has East Seas icon on the Pokeradar Application...

I plan on chaining Pidgey today since I was on the route it appears on when 12:00 rolled around I ran into a Pidgey and was like what the... guess I don't have to ask Lucas' Sister what my swarm is XD... I haven't had much luck chaining as of late, but I hope to get a Shiny Pidgey, that'd be just cool... I also want to go get a Shiny Rattata since I had one on Gold but I lost him somehow...
 
My sad Diamond Downfall...

This is my history...
When I was on Diamond, I was really, really far into the game. To be precise, I was at the 8th gym. I had gotten stuck, so when I finally got a battle with the gym leader, the game somehow froze up on me so bad that I have to start again. :( Sorry me...oh well. that happened a month or two ago, and I haven't even played Diamond since then...
 
chaining sneasel still and probs will till late into the night my parents are out so i can cause i so badly want that shiny to complete my team!!

Succesfully Managed to breed a tangela with 3 egg moves
They Were Leech Life, Confusion, And reflect,
No Luck With Shinys Lately. I Think I May Need To Go Back OT Basics And Try Practise abit more ;D

keep trying and youll find shinies you then my have a small heart attack like i did :D
 
ahh man got a chain of 48 my highest yet of sneasel but no shiny then it broke :( man i want a shiny soo bad i need to complete my team
 
Well, I'm back from the Battle Tower. And I have to say, Porygon-Z is awesome. He was able to take care of entire matches by himself, often OHKOing anything in his way. And the few times that he did go down, Gallade was there for effective cleanup. And the matches went on like this until my 21st battle with the Tower Tycoon.

I started out with Porygon-Z, and to my dismay, he started out with Milotic. Thinking that maybe I could 2HKO him with Thunderbolt, I kept Porygon in there. It wasn't so bad- until Milotic used Hypnosis. I quickly switched to my backup Luxray, who was just barely able to take her out. His Dragonite took out Luxray, so I sent Porygon back in, in the hopes that he would wake up. He didn't. And Gallade didn't last long against Dragonite, even with Stone Edge at his side. And with that, I lost.

I hate that guy so much.
