    Introduction/About

I'm sure many of you know me from the game development section. I came to the Pokecommunity without knowing anything about spriting. I, on ocassions, tried spriting but failed. Over my last year at PC I have spent time practicing my tile spriting and other things. With the release of Heart Gold and Soul Silver I have begun to sprite out what has been released (in screendhots). You'll also see later that I've sprited platinum based tiles aswell. As time passes these tiles might be made public but at
the moment these are private and only for my use.

Look very nice overall. I think the stairs are a little too wide, and that the water should be more blue, rather that turqoise, however. I really like the right house and the grass tiles. Keep it up.

Thanks, the stair's size can be changed because how the tile is set up so that won't be a problem. The water is what I'm using for my game so I'll change that later to a shade of blue.

these all look very good! the stairs are a bit wide and the roof on the blue house needs some work because it doesn't have a back for the cut out part at the top.

    MAy I suggest something:
The trees are so...powerfull colored, that the houses really don't blend in...
May Darken the outline of the houses:D

...Actually, I'd suggest rather than darkening the houses, lightening (or desaturating) the trees; As Arcade Star said, they stick out a lot.

Also, the green roof color is similar to the color of the grass; it might look better if it was more to either side of green (bluer or yellower) or, if you don't mind being deviant, a different color entirely (blue would match the best imo).

All in all, very nice, official-looking tiles! Are you gonna be doing the wind turbines they showed in the trailer, too?

Already worked out the problem with the stairs. I really had no Idea how that part of the roof should be made so I just left it like that.

I'll try to lower the saturation of the trees and the houses aswell. I had some truble with deciding the colors of the houses. As for the outline I'm going to leave that how it is (dark Blue) because I'm spriting in 3rd gen style. Thanks for the critisism.

Yeah, I see what you mean by them sticking out so i'll lower the saturation. For the house I just coupied the color scheme for those in the video screens since I'm trying to immitate the color of the tiles as much as possible. As for the wind turbines, i'll do those at a later time. I need more footage of the game first. Thanks!

Now Here's a preview of Azalea Town!
The full version will come when new footage is released.

Nice idea, I'll support it. Just a question: Is this a similar project to Kyledove's Sinnoh Tileset?

I'm not an expert spriter, but from what I know of perspective, it should look like this. Don't take my word for it though. Just some tips.

The tiles look really good. I was actually going to make a thread similar to this, guess you beat me to it. xD. I think the street lights should go from the map. They're not really fitting in a small town like New Bark.

I'm actually working on a ROM Base with HGSS tiles. It's in ROM Hacking though... and this is Game Development, so it's totally different.

    Anyways, good luck!

    Spoiler:
Thanks for your advice. I just edited the house in the tileset according to what you posted. (first post will be updated soon).

Thanks. I actually wasn't planning on making this thread, so it was a last minute thing.

Ok, since there were no new images revealed of Azalea Town, it has been put on hold. I've started cherrygrove and other areas aswell. Here's a small preview of Cherrygrove City and its tiles.

The first post will be updated ASAP.

*As always these tiles are not public (For now, you'll see...).
*As you can see I've also changed the colors of the trees.

I think I'm allowed to double post if I'm updating right?

Ok so I've been working on the Cherrygrove City tiles thanks to the newest pics of HGSS.
I'll also be working on New bark town to improve it so look foward to that. Here's Cherrygrove:

I'll update the first post right away to include this.

Wow, it seems you have almost replicated most of the tiles yet added a twist of your own style which is a very nice addition to these tiles! I can see you going far and sticking with this as you have been. Best of luck~

Wow these are incredible! Do you plan on releasing your tiles to the public?

Wow. Its almost authentic!(you have a certain flair that makes it seem better)

Those flowers are kinda big. Don't you think? And there are so many of them. You should've add some pattern designing on it?

These tiles are actually really good.(your beating kyledove :P) I don't really see any problems with them. They look really nice...haha I'm out of words. Wait! Ah! My eyes. Is it just me or are those trees really bright. Perhaps you should use a darker pallet. Just a little darker though. Anyway I hope you keep spriting.

    EDIT:

I took a closer look at the tree tiles. They look fine. XD

    Lol I have a style?
Thanks by the way, I usually try to sprite in 3rd gen style.

Thanks! And I might release these tiles later in the furure when HGSS is released and I can get a huge amount of tiles done.

Thanks! I just wish I knew what that flair was :P.

Well it would really difficult to make them any smaller and I followed the HGSS map as much as possible (I changed a few things).

Ok so I haven't really been putting this project on the top of my list
because I have also have a game to work on (Pokemon Ryen). I do this as a side project and for pure amusement.
Ok so know that's out of the way here's what I have in store for everyone this time:

    Elm's Lab:

    [PokeCommunity.com] SL's HGSS Project and Tiles/Sprites Warehouse
    NOT PUBLIC
And battle graphics based off HGSS:

    [PokeCommunity.com] SL's HGSS Project and Tiles/Sprites Warehouse

    NOT PUBLIC

    Till next time!

Ok here's a new preview for a city. This time it's Ecruteak City! Here we go:

    [PokeCommunity.com] SL's HGSS Project and Tiles/Sprites Warehouse

    NOT PUBLIC

I know I have to fix the mountain tiles. I'm not the best at making mountains. At the moment,
both sides of the new mountain are the same. I'll make the darker side later.

*I've also finished making the houses for cianwood and I have to say I'm really pleased at
how it turned out. Especially the roof!
    Any suggestions?

Your certain flair is that the colors are much more solid, things do not look so scrunched, and its much more detailed almost.
