[Smarties-chan]

During the last week, I have been in a very artistic mood. I have been making art of various Pokémon in various poses.
They were all made either for practice or for the original purpose of being part of my entry for this month's Pokécommunity Astravaganza.
I'm still not sure which Pokémon I should use in my artwork and Sceptile is most likely to be my next subject.

Anyway... before I bore you to death, here's my art:

- A Dodrio dashing at an opponent. I'm going to add motion blur and a fancy Drill Peck effect if this is going to be one of the Pokémon in my contest entry. My second favourite of them so far.

- My Ninetales. The least favourite of my artworks. The lower part of the body is just... ugh. I have always had a problem with canine anatomy <.<

- A Swampert in a surfing pose. It will obviously ride on a wave if I decide to put it in my entry.

- A Tyrogue charging up an Ice Punch (not that Tyrogue could learn Ice Punch, but...). My favourite so far. The Ice Punch effect doesn't show up very good on light layouts, but there's nothing I can do about that.

They're great, Smarty! The Dodrio is my favourite. I really like the pose, and the way you drew its talons! I see what you mean about the bottom half of the Ninetales - is the viewpoint supposed to be somewhat from above? If so, I'd look at some photos of dogs looking up at the camera - they could provide a good reference. ^_^

On a side note, love your fading signature! Are those your in-game teams?

Not too bad. The Dodrio is my favorite one. The colors seem too bland on the rest. Your anatomy could use a little work, but the style you used on them is intriguing. Keep working at it!! XD

I just finished my latest artwork; an angry Ralts.

I like the way this one turned out. The facial expression was the hardest part. I have always had trouble with expressions. <.<

I'm not really all that talented. All I can do is copy of poses and edit them slightly. And I'm glad you like the shading. I was aiming for a Sugimori-ish shading style.

Of course your talented. It takes a talent to create such artwork. It's shaded so well like the Sugimori style, like I said before. I really hope we see more!

I have been busy with making more art today, and to be more specific, this is what I have been working on today:

I'm not to statisfied with how Kirlia came out, but I <3 Gardevoir. :3 I have always loved Ralts and Gardevoir for some reason. Kirlia is okay too, but I absolutely love Ralts and Gardevoir. <3

I'm actually surprised how well Gardevoir turned out, because my reference pic didn't show the lower parts of Gardevoir's body, in fact, Sugimori's Gardevoir was the only one that showed the whole body, and it had a completely different pose. I guess I'm improving. ^^

*edit* I just finished my latest artwork. I'm not too proud of it myself, but...

*edit2* Darn, something happened to the outline on the right wing. <.< I'll fix that later.

*edit3* I only edited this to add the ''2'' to the second edit. n_n
