I'm wondering if it's a bug or whatnot. Personally, when I'm posting, I have preference on adding some smileys on occasion, but I'm wondering why at times when I post on several threads, it won't be shown as smiley and all even though I didn't have it disabled in the settings.

Could be specific to a forum skin. What one are you using/what browser? Also if you're going to advanced mode be sure the little checkbox for it (Disable smilies in text) there isn't ticked.

I'm pretty sure the option to disabling the smiley isn't checked, iirc, and I checked the settings once or twice. So far I'm using Firefox and the PC theme Shooting for the Sun. Initially, I'm pretty sure it's on some threads where the first post have the smiley disabled, but sadly, it's not the case too.

Yep. I think I could try using :) , which I'm sure it's recognized already as the smile icon in PC.

EDIT: Hmm, it worked for me when I make a new post using Advanced Reply (in which I'm doing just now), but if I made the new post through Quick Reply, it's not working. It's odd because iirc, inserting smiley while in Quick Reply mode was working back then.
