    So, what would really happen if Pokemon were real? Let's face it; we would not have access to Poke balls and stuff like that. So, seriously? Wouldn't this world be a horrible place? You would never be safe! If you want, list some possible terrors that could happen to you if pokemon was a reality. Here's a few...

    You're walking down the street all nice and happy. All of a sudden, a Garchomp pops out of the ground, bites your leg and pulls you underground where you are gnawed to death by Gible.

    You're getting on a plane to go see your Grandma in Florida. You get up to maximum height and, all of a sudden, Rayquaza comes out of nowhere and destroys the plane.

    You're sitting outside and enjoying nature. You see a cute little Pachirisu that walks up to you. It smiles and you fall in love with it... until it hits you with a HYPER BEAM BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
     
    If pokemon were real, i'd say many would be enjoying some Pikasteaks and Grumpig's Feet right about now.
     
    If Pokémon were to suddenly appear in our world without the ability to capture or train them, all heck would break loose. Luckily humans have access firearms to defend ourselves.
     
    People would use them in the most horrible ways. Terrorism, robberies, ect.
     
    Let's see. The world would be destroyed by floods cause by Kyogre.
    We will have lots and lots of nightmares because of Darkrai.
     
    And I would tame all of them and destroy you all while have Machamps serving me grapes and massaging my inner thighs.
     
    We've seen int he anime a lot of wild pokemon are friendly to humans, and will even defend them.

    A great point is Erika. In the flashback of how she met gloom, she was being attacked, and called for gloom to help her, even though Gloom was a wild pokemon. Gloom knew she was in trouble, and released her smell to get rid of the attacking pokemon. :P

    Aside from the legends going into an unstoppable rampage which would probably wipe out the whole human race and Pokemon alike, there must be some people out their who tend to wield their power and use their for corrupt reasons.
     
    if pokemon were real I think it would be just like pokemon but people would take advantage of it and soon there would be cops with arcanines around trying to stop all the hell.
     
    Team Rocket would form.

    You'd be walking to the store when two people would jump out of a bush and throw a koffing and ekans at you. Then you'd fall over and get eaten.
     
    Lets just hope a "Real Life" Team Rocket would be as clumsy and dumb like in the anime, lol.
    Anyways, theres alot of ups and downs of having Pokemon in real life.
     
    Well the reason they work in the Pokémon World is that its kind of a utopia. Humans and pokémon have been partners and friends for eons. Apart from the evil organizations there isn't any crime to speak of (barring a few rowdy biker gangs), everyone is really happy and apparently there is no poverty. There was a war at some point (Lt. Surge reminds us of that, but since then no major conflict). Plus most pokémon aren't evil (not even ones like Darkrai and Giratina), the only evil ones are those raised or harmed by bad humans. If pokémon were real many things would be very different. The three most obvious differences would be:

    - Legendaries would be completely unobtainable unless you were super-rich or part of some powerful organization. Master Balls would not be public knowledge. The stronger legendaries would be sought out by certain world governments and kept under wraps. They would then be used as surprise weapons if drastic scenarios were to occur (large scale war). Lesser legendaries would be used as political bargaining chips instead of natural resources.

    - Evil pokémon would be much more common in general and used for anything from regular street robberies (strong fighting pokémon), more high level theft (Ghost types that can hypnotize people and phase through walls), government spying (psychic types with telepathy) as well as terrorism of various forms (living bombs that can explode and then be re-used, stuff like Porygon could be used to wreck important government systems and crash financial markets etc...)

    - We already know some pokémon are eaten (Farfetch'd) but this would be more widespread. Common pokémon species in the game would be much rarer in the real world as a result. They would be used for other purposes besides food as well (eg - the likes of Wigglytuff would be skinned for fur and Tauros/Miltank for leather).

    Funny how everyone has mentioned only the negatives...:\

    Anyway, if Pokemon was real, sure, there would be legendaries but if you had a good Pokemon team you should be able to beat them, right?
    Also, even though there would be villains who have Pokemon, wouldn't Police Officers etc have Pokemon too? :\
     
    One of the worst, anyway.

    And I think it's assumed that if they were real, we'd have Poké Balls.
     
    If pok'emon were real then they would be animals of our world. Legendaries won't be much trouble as usally they would be asleep all the time. Animal Rights People would campaing to stop fighting with pok'emon as it is cruelty. They may be a whole new religion devoted to acrcues. Also a Gun probbalby would have no chance against a pok'emon as pok'emon such and mentag would not get a scratch on it and would take the gun out in a single hit.
