social disorder

I am. I have a lot of trouble with social interaction myself. It's gotten better though, with therapy. I'm getting a little better with talking but not very much.

I'd rather not go into detail about my disabilities since a certain someone will come in and twist my words and blow what I say TOTALLY out of proportion. Still, I agree with everyone else, don't diagnose yourself just because you have a few flaws. You may not make eye contact but that doesn't mean you have something wrong with you. Also, having online friends just means you have no life... it has nothing to do with having a social disorder. I have best friends online but I also have friends offline that I try to communicate with as well.

Also, I have to ask, are you talking about the movie called rain man? Because that movie is about a person who has severe autism, not a social disorder.
no, im talking about train man:Densha Otoko(if ya havent seen it you nbeed to)

Wait, having online friends means you have no life? Excuse me, but I think you're wrong. You can be able to have online friends and still have a real life. I'm able to have time to talk to both my offline and online friends.

Now, on topic. One thing I don't like about medias like movies is if it's about autism and such, it scares people thinking they have that disorder and such. Now, I'm no psychology major, but I think we shouldn't worry too much about being a social butterfly. Live life the way you want to. If you don't like your life right now, change it. :3

Perhaps you misstated that, but if not, I'd like to ask what makes your definition of "having a life" any more valid than other peoples'.

I do not think that TS has anything wrong with him/her. There's a serious problem (in the US especially) of people trying to shift blame from themselves to some mental affliction for any behavior that differs from the norm. This seems absurd to me; it is our uniqueness that makes us who we are, and why anyone would should need to make an excuse for that is beyond me.
