Solgaleo and Lunalaa connection to Zygarde

Does anyone think Zygarde could be tied to the Alola duo? Two of the glowing Hexagons on Perfect Zygarde's chest were orange and light blue. The same colors as the Sun and Moon boxart

I think GF just screwed up with X/Y and Zygarde in general. Kalos was very unfinished, and at this point any role Zygarde would have in Sun and Moon would feel very forced.

The Strange Souvenir Hiker is in XY, so SM was definitely planned way in advance. With that in mind, I don't see why they couldn't have planned for Zygarde to be of importance in SM, too. The red and blue on Zygarde Complete already correspond to Xerneas and Yveltal; and while light blue could go along with Xerneas to an extent, I can't see how orange would relate to the red-and-black Yveltal, so I'd say there's a chance the light blue and orange go along with Lunala and Solgaleo instead.

Also, I don't think they're gonna make a "definitive edition" for SM when they're supposed to be the "big anniversary titles," meaning probably no third version to go with them. So I'd honestly rather there not be a third member to their trio and instead see them do something new and connect the gen 6 and 7 legends via Zygarde. It could definitely turn out interesting and unique if done correctly.

I've speculated that the three all represents cores, at least Solgaleo and Zygarde do. Solgaleo likely represents the core of the sun when it'll be in it's 'White Dwarf' state. Zygarde I've theorized for a long time to get it's power from the core of the Earth, and it's Complete Forme's signature move hints at that, having core in it's name.

Solgaleo represent Sun and Lunalaa represent Moon So Zygarde obviously represent our Earth since its green and part Ground.

    Sun - Moon - Earth.

It's worth mentioning that Zygarde's name might be at least partially derived from "syzygy" which refers to a system usually consisting of the sun, moon, and the earth.

Like the others said, Zygarde seems to have a connection to Earth as shown notably with its Ground-type. Also, as Angie said Zygarde will be a first in that it could be the first older-gen legendary to play a role in the plot of a future generation game.

Yeah, once the moves and forms were revealed I almost instantly saw the connection with Zygarde and earth. This would make sense given how Solgaleo and Lunala represent the Sun and Moon respectively. Being part Ground-type, having the move "Core Enforcer" and having the role of monitoring the ecosystem just further supports this.
