Well, lately I find out that my New 3DS XL is kinda laggy in terms of playing some video games, notably on Kid Icarus: Uprising (on occasion, the video suddenly freezes for no reason at all) and Pokémon Y (when the music stopped at times, mostly in the middle of saving). That's strange, since I'm pretty sure this never happened when I'm using my old 3DS XL back then. And switching to supposedly faster Micro SD cards and repairing the game won't fix stuffs too :(

I'm wondering, is it because of the latest updates that I'm getting to my New 3DS XL lately, or is my handheld defective? And how to fix it?

Well, I've already done the steps of backing up my Micro SD and put it on a new card that was bought a few weeks ago, and I'm sure it was on Class 10 (yup, rechecked just now).

EDIT: It seems that the massive video lag in Kid Icarus: Uprising is no more, or so I thought, even though in Pokémon Y, the music still stutters a bit when in the middle of saving for me, so it's not fully fixed yet.

Just wondering, but where are you saving in Y when the music stuttering is happening? Are you connected to the PSS as well?

It's when I was saving in anywhere, it occurs randomly whenever I'm connected to PSS or not. At times, the music just pauses a bit before the sound effect of 'saving complete' is played at that moment, the first time I have this occurrence was when I'm saving before I get my starter Pokémon, which is strange considering that I used to play Pokémon X in my old handheld without any issues back then.

It happens to be a digital download, btw.
If your games are acting slow though, what I'd do is back up your Micro SD to your computer and format the memory card.

Man, I have no idea that reformatting Micro SD card does wonders (instead of just emptying the card and refilling it again, I guess I'll take that note when I have slowdown issues next time). I've done it several mins ago, and I have tried multiple attempts of saving, and no more lagging music. I guess this problem is solved for now, and thanks for the advice, Team Fail and Tsutarja :)
