[Graphics] Some questions about Tilesets in Red Fire

    Hello everybody! :D

I am new in the forum and in the world of ROM Hacking, so I have a lot of questions.

I am using a Fire Red ROM and I would like to keep the original graphics and to add new graphics to new maps. I already know that there are a lot of blank spaces in the tilsets that can be used to add new elements, so my next doubts are related to customizing a whole tileset. I found an old thread (Unfortunately I cannot post links because I am new here D: ) that explains the use of each tileset. Apparently tilesets 16, 24, 33, 35, 39, 55 and 56 have no use in Fire Red, although you can find, for example, tileset 24 in one of those unused maps that have a weird appearance. So I have the following questions:

-The first one is if these tilesets have any relevant use not listed in that thread, or if, on the contrary, they have no use. If this is the case, can I use them freely without messing up the ROM?

-The second one is if these unused maps have some reason to be or, on the contrary, they were discarded during the development process? Again, can I use them freely?

-The third one is if there is a simple way to know which maps are using a certain tileset. I would like to remark that I am not asking how to know which tilesets a certain map is using, and by a simple way I mean other than manually checking one by one all the maps in the game.

-And the fouth and the last question is if there exists a specific tool that allows us to manage the tilsets individually, and to add new ones. It seems that you ''only'' have 68 tilesets spaces, from 0 to 67, if I am not wrong, and the idea is to add a tileset number 68, a tileset number 69, and so on.

I know that there are a lot of questions, and maybe some of them are a bit stupid and have an easy answer but I do not have so many experience... ):

    Thank you for all!

    - Yes, some of the tilesets are actually unused and can safely be overwritten. Don't know which ones are unused from the top of my head, but if the ones you name are unused it should be fine.
    - If the maps are unused (like the sevii islands maps past sevii island 7), you can use them freely. For the reason why they're there, we can only guess. Your explanation sounds plausible.
    - In AdvanceMap you're able to sort maps by tileset number. By default it's set to sort by <bank>.<map>
    - I'm not really sure, but I once heard that the beta version of AdvanceMap 1.95 is able to add new tilesets. Not sure whether that's true though, I never needed it. There is plenty of free space available in the existing tilesets of Fire Red. So I'd recommend using that space, it will take a very long time before you'll run out of space.

    Hope this helps;)
