4th Gen Something that makes Diamond and pearl different?.

Nothing. kinda sad, really. :(
I wish there were some things that were differen't, or some things I don't know about yet...
It would be fun if there were a difference in the game, like one version started their adventure on the east side of sinnoh, and the other on the west side. XD
or that the game is mirrored. like in one game, you have to go to the right to get to kanalve city (spelling?) and the other one left. that'd be cool. XD

Well obviously there's the different Galactic plot, one with Dialga and the other Palkia, but that's about it.

I've always thought it'd be great if the gym leader/Elite Four line-ups were slightly different in each version - different Pokemon, maybe a different champion.

I like the idea of starting on different sides of Sinnoh. (No poketch until one of the last gyms!!!yay!!!!)

Maybe different Starters??? (i.e. Turtwig/Chimchar on one, Piplup/Chimchar on the other, then Turtwig/Piplup on Platinum). But still have your rival getting the poke strong against yours

Well just the Pokemon like Palkia in Pearl and Dialga in pokemon Diamond nothing else really. Oh yea the cases are a different color

Ones got bagon the other has I forgot its name, different daily route pokemon (you know the ones dawns sis tells you about) and different pokeradar pokemon.

And it's not really any different.

That's why you should buy the one that looks the coolest, or has the pokemon you like ^^

I think it was Eterna City.. or Celestic Town? I'm not sure..

But, I didn't really like the D/P games. I mean, they were good, but there were not much differences between them.

Graphics, Underground and Wi-Fi, theres differences, just not to the key mechanics of the game ;)

Mostly minor things related to the Galactic plot. Also, the ratio of items you uncover in the Underground, some Pokedex entries, and not much else.

Definitely examine which game has the Pokemon you want and get just that version. Or get Platinum, where the changes are a bit more pronounced.
