Hi, Soul silver and heart Gold is soon coming out. Why Did I say build my team, Well it could be anyone team. I Looked around, browsed at the wild pokemon Wondered who I should get for this generation of pokemon. The answer hit me. I have no idea.

I Would love if you all could pitch me Ideas, Post up pokemon to use, the more commonly said ones will generally win, though if i need one type and that one type has been said then i would have to add that pokemon to my team.

I Am going to be starting with a Totodile and i would love you you guys to tell me some pokemon to send over in eggs, or to catch to make my team.

Golem is definitely worth it, stab EQ and sturdy headed Double Edge. For in game play I mean.
You can also get a Ghastly early in the game. And maybe get a Scyther in the Bug Catching contest.

Well yeah but I Want a random team mostly. I been there at picking my own it got old, I like to use a team i never really used before. Golem, and syther are two which are new to me.

Well, I never suggested it, Someone put it on another forum ina different site that wasnt hitting off so it up there, i going to pick the mostly said ones to have a team, why because i always end up using the same pokemon in these games

Really, want this game to be challenging send me pokemon to try and use. I want to see who interested in useing what, and why also i want to see how many pokemon that are under appreciated maybe get them some usefulness int his game

Try using a novelty pokemon : Delibird, Stantler, Smeargle, etc...
Or a good but rarely used pokemon like Jumpluff or Wigglytuff.

in pokemon SS, when i get it (when it comes out in England) can you get a scyther near the start ?

In a gaming magazine it had Pokemon's unsung heroes. I guess some of these would be Ok.

    Magneton
    Clefable
    Lapras
    Dragonite
    Crobat

I would use crobat or smergle but in the second gen they were my top I had those two plus typhlosion among a few other switched pokemon so I may have to pass on those but stantler would be a change, megneton it a pokemon i never used so thanks.

cool im getting scyther when it comes out
SCYTHER RULES im trainning it to lvl 100!

Magneton you can a Magnetite right after the 3rd badge (just next to Ecruteak city), good pokemon to use (Steel Types are really cool) plus it a has a 3rd evolution.

Crobat is cool but it's a real pain when you have to catch a Zubat and train it.

If you plan to build an in-game team for your adventure though SoulSilver, then any Pokémon will work regardless of what you choose. Just make your team building fun and enjoyable so the game still interests you and doesn't seem like a job to be done. If you're looking for a challenge, then don't use powerhouse Pokémon in your team. For example, I am choosing Cyndaquil as my starter, but to keep the game challenging I plan to keep it at its second stage evolution rather than making it evolve all the way through Typhlosion.

For assistance on this, you can use Serebii's HG/SS PokéDex that gives you information on a Pokémon's level-up moves, egg moves, stats, area found, and much more.

Yeah but why Swablu????? It sucks! Altaria's not great either :)
Altaria is a very useful Pokemon in my opinion. It has a versatile movepool that comes in handy in battle, especially against those pesky Dragon types.

This is very useful stuff, thanks.

Not sure if you will read this, but I'm not making it a job, I want something new, in-game i know every pokemon works, and if I'm ever going 2 do an out game team I could just train the top 6 pokemon that could be a nice team.

I rather play through with pokemon i never used much, and a forum would be the best idea to do so.

So I do agree Altaria is a sweet pokemon, good for thoughs dragons, but I have a **** load of them in my pc so it doesnt make much diff.

Use six Magikarps and try to beat the game without using any other pokémon (they can evolve if you get enough experience for them). Tackle, tackle, splash, splash, splash, struggle, struggle, struggle...

I think that's what you haven't tested yet and it could be a big challenge :D
And as I read your last post you said that you want to play with pokémon that you doesn't use usually, do you use Magikarps so usually?

    There's job to you.
I think that you don't even try this as this is so crazy idea...
