Ok so I am creating a game thats obvious the problum is that im creating it on flash. Now because i have no sound effects to work with. I have the music but what i need is stuff like the sound when you talk to someone and when you walk into a wall stuff like that
It would also be helpfull if they were generation 4 ones.

So is there anyone that can help me maby give me a link to somewere or something, iv been searching all day and cant find any anywere please help.

    Extract them from Pokémon Platinum/Pearl/Diamond.

    How?
Download a program called "ndssndext.exe" and then drag a NDS rom to it. You'll get .mid and .wav files.
It's up to you how to use them. I did it and it is hard to find which sound you want.

    Before locking this thread,
did that midi/wav include attack sfx?
Like in battle sounds, like the flametrower fire sound?

If it did, could you pm me them, or post them here?
Cause I don't think barely anyone have ripped them before,
and it would be much appreciated if they were posted.

And I myself would be forever grateful to you.

    Thanks in Advance~

Yeah, the attack sounds are in there, as .mids. They'll sound weird on the PC, since it has a different sound synthesiser from the DS.

Yeah, I understand that, as I've done quite some hacking myself, but as they're midi's
they're easily edited by using, for example audacity.

And that is much simpler than trying to rip the sounds from GBA, I've tried...

Also, when ripping music from platinum, I opened the giratina battle music, and it sounds really retarded :S Besides that I want to say thanks to Fraot because I never knew how to rip those sounds and have been looking like crazy myself :P

P.S. The attack sounds and some other sound effects should be in .wav format. So those should sound better.

You're welcome Luka. It was nothing.

And... no, there's no attack sound on the .wav files, at least i think they're not there. You can find them as midis but they sound weird.

    *sigh*

What if you convert them to mp3?
Do they keep the midi sound, or do they change to the original?

    What the...?!

You really should study about the topic. If you convert a midi to a mp3/wav it will sound extactly the same as the midi one. It's mostly useless to convert a midi to a mp3/wav unless you have another midi program like "Harmmony Assistant", which has a better SoundFont that allows you to hear midis with a higher quality(for some people).

In my case, some of my game's musics ar made on that program.

If you want the sounds to be exactly the same as the game ones, then use your creativity to record the sound from an emulator or something like that.

    xD, Sorry, If there's something I don't sh*t about, it's music editing!

But if you open the sounds in, let's say Audacity, can't you make it sound better by heightening the pitch, etc. ?

Anyway, I wouldn't mind using strange sounds.
    rather strange, then none...

well i find that especially with music the differences make it sound unique i mean its better to have a slightly different track than an exact game one isnt it???

I recommend you to download midi programs like Harmony Assistant or Sibelius, because they have a good soundfont(better instrument quality). Then, you can export them into mp3 or .wav files. I dunno if Sibelius can export because I used it when i was 13 and I wasn't very good with computers, but the instruments were excellent.

NOTE: Harmony Assistant can export midi to mp3/wav directly.

EDIT: I've tried to open midi on Audacity and some other audio-editing programs when I was a little younger, and they can't open them, you have to export them to mp3/wav/ogg first.
