With exactly two months until the release of Pokemon Sun & Moon, I'm pretty sure many of you are looking forward to hearing some of the soundtracks for these games. Over the past few months, we've heard a variety of different themes, but which one is your favourite? What do you think of the overall direction in terms of music for Sun & Moon based on what we've heard so far? Basically, anything related to the soundtrack can be discussed here. Feel free to link in a video of your favourite track if you feel the need to do so!

Personally, my favourite is this introduction theme. There is even a remixed version here which is like 10x better, but probably won't end up being used in-game. Anyway, this theme has such a nice build up and the addition of the vocals at the start has such a strong impact on the theme as a whole. I'd probably go as far to say it is my favourite of all the introduction themes for any Pokemon game. As for the theme for music overall, it seems as though they have taken a more relaxed and mellow approach to the soundtracks. Especially when compared to X/Y's soundtrack which had a lot of the themes having heavy use of guitar instrumentals. I'm certainly looking forward to hearing the rest of the soundtrack!

OMG that introduction theme sounds AMAZING. I love the vocals at the start and the way it builds up. I agree with you on this being one of my favourite introduction themes 0.0
Anyway, can we talk about how cool Team Skull's battle theme sounds?


I think it 100% matches team skull. It just sounds so badass and " I don't care, I'm gonna smash you"... I like those "yeah's" as well!

My fave music definitely has to be the Team Skull theme. I remember when Team Plasma in B/W and B2/W2 had epic music, even for just the standard grunt fights but it appears S/M has stepped up a lot even with the typical grunt battle theme.

The ones I am hyped for that haven't been revealed yet are probably the legendary encounter and maybe battling the Ultra Beasts. Even the standard route music I'd love to hear get noticeably good sounds used.

I don't really pay attention to the music, but in saying that, team skulls theme sounds like it's straight out of splatoon.

Yeah the music in Sun and Moon is looking fantastic. I love listening to the japanese trailers because they play a whole bunch of music from the games. I love the Team Skull encounter theme, it's so unlike anything we've ever heard in Pokemon before. The Town theme that plays around https://youtu.be/YR1ssSZfoGY?t=58s is really great too, as well as the Gladion theme, something super retro about it and it kind of reminds me of Silver too. I also like how the main wild and trainer battle themes are inspired by the old themes, you can hear a lot of 3rd, 4th and 5th gen in them, and it's great.
