Question: spam

How does this forum stay free from spam? I see MANY other forums get spambots posting virus links and stuff until a moderator removes it. but I NEVER once see Pokécommunity Forums get hit with anything that a spambot posts... how do you guys actually keep this forum spam free??? even off topic and duplicated and revives take HOURS to get removed on Pokécommunity Forums, so why doesn't this place get targeted by spambots?? how is Pokécommunity forums different??

They delete threads pretty quickly. There's actually usually quite a bit of spam, but its hidden to anyone but staff to keep the forums nice and tidy. Surprised some of your threads haven't been deleted, though.

There are fails-safes in place to catch things, (i.e. CAPCHA) and if we do get bots posting stuff, the staff team cleans them up pretty quickly, via deletion. We've gotten pretty good at it.

Oh, it's a whole other word this side of the river. We can see deleted threads and such, and it looks ugly :C But to answer to question, we're actually pretty fast with the spambot bans, although there really aren't that many, afaik. We have quick staff members and good forum members who report what they see to thank for that.
