Mmm, the importance of the game wasn't being emphasized here either, though; it's just one pillar of our justification. Let's not be hot under the collar here; all of us at PC have greater and more impactful issues to focus ourselves on. If we had any malevolent intent it would have already manifested itself in this thread somehow; we're not lording our name changes over anyone, we haven't even discussed them unless pressed to; I'd go as far as to say that the quick changes and reversions to normal show that we're not abusing power rather than it demonstrating that we are, as it shows no attachment to (and no serious thought process in the creation of) the names. We would be switching names every three months, not three days, if we truly wished to abuse the system.

I implore both sides to calm down and not make more of this issue than is at hand. It's not a broad debate about moderator rights or moderator respect; nor should it be interpreted as such, as then we enlarge a single complaint into a nonexistent railing against staff. It's one issue, not many. Let's treat it as such.

Get over it guys, get over the whole "The Staff is above the rules!!!!!!" crap, because I'm totally fed up with it. If it wasn't for the Staff you guys wouldn't have a forum to go to and complain saying the Staff are above the rules.

If you want to, go ahead and just close it. I never meant for this to be such a big clamor. If all I'm doing is pissing you all off, you might as well. I don't think I actually said anything about me against the contest though; maybe I worded this wrong. Oh well, sorry anyway.
 
Okay, I think we all get it that this was just a little thing the staff were doing for fun. There's really nothing wrong with it as we only get to do something like this once or twice a year. There's nothing that can really come from this conversation at all, we change names, it's not like you can go back and stop us from doing it. In the end, it's not really hurting anyone, but I may as well lock this thread before it gets too out of hand. Chibi, no one's mad, some of us just get kinda annoyed because we all knew something like this would pop up eventually.
