Splatoon's on the Switch?!

During the Nintendo Switch reveal, on the last part of the trailer we saw several new footage of what seemed to be Splatoon in it, and of course, it doesn't went unnoticed by the Squid Research Lab if this Tweet is anything to go by (it's in Japanese tho):

So... what do you think about it? Would this be a port of Splatoon for Nintendo Switch, or will it be the Spla2oon the sequel ink-oming?

I'm calling it a port. It's minor changes and to soon for Spla2oon. Plus from the rumors that are validated now, there was apparently talk of porting Splatoon to the Switch, so it seems that this is that port.

It's likely to be a port, which is sort of like an update but sold for a separate system. They aren't made to be like full sequels though. For example, Hyrule Warriors Legends is a port.
