Is it me or are the portal legendary pokemon a pain in the ass to catch?
I spent today catching Lugia, Zekrom, Raikou, and Suicune, and they all made me waste like 30 Ultra Balls each. I had them at low health (almost to 1) and paralyzed. Except for Raikou and Zekrom because it isn't possible to paralyze them.

Rayquaza and Kyogre gave me an easier time. Maybe I just got EXTREMELY unlucky today.

They are supposed to be that hard, most of them have a catch rate of 3. But I do agree they are annoying.
I would suggest waiting until night time, and using Dusk Balls instead, they have a capture rate of x3.5 (Only at night or in caves), compared to Ultra Balls' x2.
But if you can't do it at night, then use Timer Balls, it may take longer, but after 10 turns, they have a x4 capture rate.
Both Dusk Balls and Timer Balls are cheaper than Ultra Balls anyways. :)

I know. The Timer Ball after 10 turns caught Entei 1st try, which was a relief.
Zekrom is what caught me by surprise because its catch rate is 45 and I never had a problem catching it in White. Yet it makes a total train wreck of bad luck in Alpha Sapphire.

    I resetted a few times.
The Lake Trios only took me less than 10 bucks for all 3 of them.
Uxie was a pain and I keep resetting anyway.

But that's the whole idea of fun in there; It would make no difference from no legendaries if they were easy pesky.

I believe Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram and Zekrom has a lower catch rate this time, mainly because you don't need them to advance further, perhaps?

Rayquaza was wayyy harder than them too and it's easy this time because you need to catch him.

So I have a question about Synchronize with the legendaries: I was told that Synchronize does in fact work with the interaction legendaries in X and Y as well as OR/AS, however I am currently soft resetting with Synchronize to get a Calm Latias, but I noticed that I was ALWAYS getting a Calm nature, so I looked it up and it turns out that this particular battle has a 100% synchronize rate to whatever synchro pokemon is in your lead, so has this been increased to include ALL the legendaries in OR/AS or is it just this particular battle and all the other legendaries are back to 50%? Thanks!

I know that in addition to finding them on the map, to get the mirage spots to appear your team needs to have Pokémon that meet certain conditions, such as being Level 100, or having max happiness, or something along those lines. I checked Serebii's page and that's apparently the case. I haven't tried to catch any of them yet (although Mesprit showed up yesterday before I took on the league) but i'll have to see more when I do.

Im trying so hard to get a shiny cresselia. It's being a real pain in the ass right now. I've been at it for a good 7-ish hours....I wonder how people have the patience to do this.

But yeah, I agree. The pokes are hard to catch. Especially for me since I have no status inducers and I like to use regular poke balls
