I love everything about this game except for the Pikachu/Raichu sprites and the Goldenrod music. Everything else makes this the best game to come out of Game Freak ever.
Can you not enter the cave? Did you get the Egg from the Violet City Poke Mart?

Pikachu's sprite always bothered me a bit since I saw it a few months ago. Though, I'm sure over time I'll cope with it like I've done with previous games obtained before. Besides a few little picks, the game is looking great. Besides the overload of information recieved within this week and over the past months there is still a lot to be learned about the game as well. Especially news about Kanto, not much has been touched within the second region as yet.

I'm loving all the new information today. :3 It's an exciting day.
Also, I'm trying to get myself a ROM version running so I can play through, too... Can't get it working. x__x Gurgle. It won't even open on No$ and DeSmuMe. Can't figure out why...

Ergh, I only played an hour of this.
Afterwards, I deleted the ROM.
I feel kinda guilty playing it before even JP release.
It's a beautiful game, though. The music is really impressive.

Theres a whole channel of Pokemon heart gold/soul silver music apparently. It has dragons den, Wild pokemon music, S.S. Anne, etc.

starting to play the game after finally finding the rom: my response: Oh My Fat Goats! (yeah, that'e what OMFG stands for) THIS GAME IS GREAT!!!! i'm only in New Bark Town, and i'm jumping off walls! the graphics! the Windmills! OMFG!
The guy in front of the Gym said something along the lines of: The leader of this Gym, Akane-chan (Whitney), said something like "I WANNA RADIO CARRRRRRRDD!!" and WOOSH, she left"
That's a pretty shoddy translation, but you get the gist. It seems Whitney has a very childish spirit. XD
As for Japanese, I just decided to learn it a long time ago, probably 3rd grade, when I had to do a project, I thought, "Wow! What a cool language!!"...I've had some relatives of mine go over and live there. One was a video game designer, the other is in law. It's not particularly difficult, but particles and verb conjugations, those can be a major pain in the arse. :P

Try the patch on gbatemp mabye? (im on an r4) I tried that and so for my game hasn't froze unlike prior to patching it

Hmmm...
I think DeSumME is telling me I'm not loading a DS rom.
Anyone got any help? Seems like everyone else is having luck finding some way to play it.
Edit: Oop, didn't see the help in the previous post. I'm not sure how to apply patches. Not to mention, the game's not even opening correctly. Instead of starting, then freezing... It just doesn't start.

Did you get the pokefix patch? It's a few pages back in this thread, ShinyMeganium posted it (omg thx sooo much lolol). Make sure when you configure the no$gba, you set the save type to FLASH 512kbytes, or the game won't save. :D
Oh, I had major problems with DeSumME. It didn't work for me.

Np...and yeah, Whitney is childish--she also cries when she gets beaten XD
I have to say, i'm rather disappointed of Miltank. I didn't go to Pokecenter once from the point I entered the gym to the point I got the badge, and seriously, I don't level my Pokemons much.

Ro-ohs: Well, for one, I'm not sure how to apply patches at the moment. (Trying to do one thing at a time for right now. XD; ) Actually, the weirdest thing is that the emulators aren't recognizing the file at all. I can't open it, period. D:

It's not really so much a patch- it's kind of like a program you run so that the emulator will run the file. Have you tried no$gba?
It's better than when I was eight, crying in frustration because her stupid Miltank kept using rollout and milk drink. And now, they have abilities, which makes it worse.
I'm grinding right now to get ready for Falkner. LOL!! I'mma see if I can get Bellsprout, Gastly, and Rattata on my team. Since it's almost night, I'd like to pick up Hoothoot. :D
I'm getting my party up to level 10, then I'm going to go to Ruins of the Alph, etc, etc. My old save file for some reason didn't load, and I'd already done the Ruins. My game slows waaay down over there, hahaha.

tyros what does is the filename of the ROM and did you extract can you possible post a pic of the error? and you should edit your post saying where you got it from

no$gba. You must read the directions that come with the patch's zip file, or it won't work at all.
By the way, what time does night start in this game. Is it 7? lol
