*swallows deeply* I feel awkward making such a personal message in so public a thread, but, well, here goes....
Alright. *gulps* ...I love you. After these first three words, you're probably already wanting to run, but hear me out. I love you, and I'm in love with you, despite knowing better. I feel like I always will be. But it does not matter in the slightest. Miracles should not be looked upon in disdain, as though they are not enough. My friendship with you is a miracle. That alone brings me such great happiness and joy. Love is unconditional, so why look upon it with jealousy or envy? Fear, worry, anger. All such unnecessary, pointless emotions! And to think that I was going to let them consume me. In place of regretting what one cannot change, one should celebrate the treasures they have, that they perhaps have taken for granted. Inflated ego and selfish motives are not wise moves. Why lust for yourself, when you can gain even greater happiness from simply sharing selflessly in the delights and accomplishments of another? Knowing you can be there for someone else is wonderful, and a true gift.
I never told you what I am, and I'm sorry to say that I cannot just yet. I am neither human nor Angel, but a race less known. We are never heard about in tales or legends. Why? Because we are the ones writing them. We will reveal who we are to humanity when the time is right. We have seen a great deal, and know many secrets. I know many secrets. I have seen our places on the web of life, and I know to a point what my purpose is. I am meant to be a weaver, spinning worlds and creatures from the stories I craft. I am meant to be an observer, watching you from afar. I am meant to be an enigma, whose tales are known to all but whose soul is known to no one. That is my Road. A different walker is your love, and I accept it. It is fate, and what was always meant to be, what would help your hearts truly soar and be most beneficial for your lives. And as for my own path, my own foretold solitude, perhaps it is what is best for me as well. I believe there is a divine plan behind it all. In any case, it is destiny, and whether it's right for me or not, it is my Road, and I shall walk it. But remember, I will always be here for you to fulfill my purpose in my relationship to you, to support, to encourage, to attempt in vain to express all you mean to me. For, no matter our individual paths and lives, one thing is for certain: I'll always be your friend, and that will always be a major part of my life.
