Other than maybe a few minor references, no, I don't think so. =\ It's probably more directly related to Tactics, since I believe they take place in a country with the same name. Or something like that. XD Andy could probably tell you better than I can.

I used to know this site where you could see similarities in all the games. Just little things like attacks, weapons, etc. o_O I can't remember where it was, though...
 
Ashe and that... guy whose name might possibly start with a V. *can't remember*

Anyway, I can guarantee you that Yuna, Rikku, or Paine won't be in it. :O I don't think any FF characters ever transfer over onto a new game unless it's a sequel. (And in that case, there's only ever been one sequel in the series so far. XP)

Oh, I know who Ashe is in that game. I found pictures of her on google, and a few japanese covers of the game.
 
FFXII will take place in a land called "Ivalice". It's the same place that Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was. The battles and stuff will be real time (like X-2). Every FF game has their own little twist to the game that makes it different then the others.


And yea a lot of the weapons and stuff on FF games has names of ships, weapons, attacks etc. From other FF games before that one.

I found a new websites referring to that game. The story plot is a bit simular to the one in FFX. It's like this:
Spira is going through a war between the people and the fiends are also in this war. But as the Calm remains, the fiends grow stronger. But the people of Spira do not notice it, until they are in BIG trouble. But the fiends ARE much weaker than Vegnagun was. The biggest they get are at Behamoth size.
 
No more Rikku, yuna and Paine?! WAAAHHH -_-;;;
Oh, and, I won't get it, no Yuna XD, It must be very cool every FF game is
 
I don't know if the game takes place in Spira or not. I forgot it's name. But the story lines goes like I said. I went to a website saying how the game was from what Square Enix was giving away about it.

The races in FFXII is more or less the same as FFTA.

Well that is from Final Fantay X-2. The next FF game (the one that we were talking about) is Final Fantasy 12.

Hopefully it is. As the other FFX games are for PS2, this one will also be for PS2. I don't know if it'll be for other games systems yet. I only heard about this game a week ago.

The PS3 might be coming out next year. It's not been official yet. It might come out either late spring of next year, or in the summer of 2006.
