    On the Windows Vista version of Paint how do you post sprites without the background appearing? Whenever I try to whiten out the background it messes up the image.
     
    yea it does get rid of backgrounds it did on Windows XP, I meant getting rid of the background so I can slide it onto a trainer card
     
    Paint doesn't support alpha channels, as has already been said. If you want the background to be transparent, you'll have to use one of the programs Candy listed; any one should get the job done (Paint.NET is probably the easiest to use, though I prefer GIMP).
     
    If you want to know how it can overlap other pictures/images, here it is:

    You need to select "select" (the cursor thingy). Beneath the standard-forms there will appear two boxes. You can recognise them at their springy colors in the gray backround. Simply select the not-selected one.
