Maybe he's increased or picked a better shade of pink for his hair dye and got bored of brown.....XD
 
It must be something like that because it literally gets a shade pinker each time. :(

It's really confusing in 358/2 Days because for the character select screen in Mission Mode, they use everyone's original concept art. So you pick Marluxia with *obviously* brown hair and then on the next screen it's a vibrant pink. XD;

Trivia
  • Nomura has stated that Marluxia was originally intended to be a female character, which may explain his association with the color pink, the element of flower, and his feminine-sounding name.
  • All of Marluxia's scythes are the names of flowers along with some sort of descriptive term.
  • In the manga, Marluxia does not use alternate forms and is easily killed by Sora in the first battle. He is also surrounded by flowers or flower petals a good deal of the time. And he is sometimes even seen holding a rose.
  • Marluxia is one of four Organization members to have his own battle theme. The other three members are Roxas, Xemnas, and Xion.
  • All of Marluxia's boss themes are named after the overall concept of Marluxia. The first one, "Graceful Assassin", is also the name of his title. Followed, is "Scythe of Petals", which is obviously the weapon he uses, then, "Lord of the Castle", referring to his status in Castle Oblivion.

The first trivia point about Marluxia is one of my favourites. I lol'd hard when I first read that interview. It explains so much. xD

that's what I said in a few words and then I calmed down and sorta edited my post.
 
Worst part is, he's one of the few that actually has a manly physical build. xD; Really, the only marks against him are the flowers and the pink. And there wasn't even that much pink to begin with.

:( I mean, Axel totally has the best hips in the Organization and no one questions his gender.

Come to think of it, that makes sense. Roxas & Namine's ages, and ability to act as though they have hearts, could be because the people who they are Nobodies of still age and have hearts, whereas other people who Nobodies are made from are no longer living, and thus no longer aging and no longer have hearts, like Xehanort and Xemnas. Nobodies probably react to their others like this.

Well, to be honest, I always figured that Marluxia was supposed to be a girl. I mean c'mon. The name should be enough. Doesn't that look kinda feminish to you at all?
I won't comment about the hair, only because I've seen weird colored hair on guys. So....no comment yet. XD
 
To be honest... I never questioned his gender until the Organization took the spotlight in the fandom after KH2 was played by enough people. XD; And then I was just like "oh, yeah flowers and his hair does look kinda pink in the KH2 opening... lol, I guess I see it" and left it at that.

...and then all the fans that never played COM came along and decided everything ~else~ about him was probably super girly too. ;_;

I agree with that. XD When playing COM, I didn't think too much of it (then again, I was distracted by Axel and his awesomeness), but I did find it amusing that the big bad boss of Castle Oblivion attacked with petals. XD

The real girl in the Organization is obviously Mansex. >=(
 
I was too busy dying because of those stupid petals and hating Marluxia forever that I wasn't really looking too much into it. XD; He was seriously my least favourite for SO LONG because I was so underleveled the first time I got to him. v_v;;

I peg Saïx as the mom of the Organization because he's the one who seems to do all the work. I imagine him going around making everyone's bed, vacuuming the common room, preparing dinner, etc. while they're all out on their missions. XD;

sdklfjfkglfl has anyone else read the first chapter of the Days manga? Omg I died laughing at like all of it. Even if they made the tutorial FAR less fabulous. :(

Does he wear a frilly little apron? No seriously, I can imagine Saix in an apron... And his hair kept back with one of those hankerchief cap things. XDD
 
I vaguely remember stuff like this in the novels... I think. XD;
