    So, we know that some of the characters from Melee will not be returning to Brawl. Furthermore, it has been said that they won't have clones, a la Pichu/Pikachu, Dr. Mario/Mario, Captain Falcon/Ganondorf.

    I think that Pichu and Dr. Mario will go, and probably Young Link as well. As for C.Fal and Ganny, I expect one or both to have changed movesets. Same with Falco and Fox, because I don't want Falco to go. ^_^

    I also hope with a passion that Jigglypuff will get the boot. I hate that thing. So many other Pokemon deserve the spot more than he does.

    So, who else do you guys think won't make the cut?

    Note: I added every character in the poll who wasn't confirmed yet, although I think it's safe to say that a few of these guys are already returning, namely Yoshi & Donkey Kong. ^_^
     
    Well, I read sonewhere that Mr. Game and Watch wont be making it.... ummmm, I hope to god that Jigglypuff gets the boot right up the @#$!. That thing is 100% useless. Also I think the Ice Climers aren't gonna make the cut either.

    But, to be certain, we'll just have to wait unti lits released in Japan. Then everything will become clear.
     
    Hopefully, Jigglypuff, Pichu, and Ice Climbers will go.. All 3 of them are pretty lame.
     
    The Ice Climbers are sure not to come back. Young Link can come back, but it's not so likely. The same with Marth and Roy. Dr. Mario was another bad addition for SSBM, so he shouldn't come back. Mr. Game & Watch can be, again, the "final" secret character. He may become a regular character eventually.
     
    I think they will remove Marth and Roy, it seemed like they were introducing those characters to get people interested in the Fire Emblem series. Maybe we will see some characters from other Japan-only series in Brawl.
     
    NO! Mr. Game and Watch needs to come back! Him and his spiffy sausages are what MAKES Melee what it is today! :<

    They can take out the Ice Climbers. No one likes them, and they're just an annoyance. Jigglypuff, I actually found it fun to play with her little puff ball self. I can't say I was best with her, I was best with Roy and Kirby, but she was always fun.
     
    I highly doubt that the "clone" characters (Ganondorf, etc.). The charcters from the original N64 game will likely be in Brawl. I also doubt Marth and Roy's return (*cries*) because many new characters were introduced to Fire Emblem.

    Maybe clones won't come back, but Ganondorf, Falco, and even Pichu (a bit), are important characters.
     
    That gives me a thought. What if Ganon will actually return, but with different attacks? Oooh... that would be so COOL. You're right though, they WERE important.
     
    Maybe they will put Ganondorf in as he appeared in Twilight Princess, with the sword and all. Dang that final boss battle was awesome...
     
    I definetely hope Ganondorf comes back...he's my favorite. And how can they not have the main Zelda villain?! I think that the most likely to get booted are the lame clones that aren't main characters of games, like Dr.Mario, Pichu, Jigglypuff (with a different pokemon replacement), Young Link, and Ice.Climbers (they had their own game, but they're not very good Smash Bros. Characters).

    Falco should come back, but with a different moveset because he's just so dang cool. But better yet, they should bring in StarWolf.

    I think they should use Ridley as a boss, though. He'd be cool to play as, but he's kind of...huge. Then again they could easily scale him down. After all, they do need some Metroid character (what about an actual metroid as an item...).

    Yoshi and Donkey Kong will probably come back, but I think that they're moves could be improved. Then there's the matter of Zelda, and whether Shiek will be availabe as a seperate character or as a transformation.
     
    Jigglypuff is only useless if you don't know how to use her, I'm actually okay with her.

    Ice Climbers shouldn't make it through, since... well, do I really need to say? Dr. Mario is the same as Mario aside from the cape, Pichu, as cute as it is, is just a clone of Pikachu, but weaker. And as much as I love Marth, he's a clone of Roy (or other way around), and they should be cut, or at least one of them. Would I be disappointed if they were BOTH in Brawl?

    Not at all.

    Young Link needs to stay, since Link and him had some differences (jumping off walls, hookshot length, etc). I personally don't like Falco, aside from his stunning gun shots.

    But hey, what do I care? I haven't got a Wii yet. XD
     
    Probably only Dr. Mario and Young Link. No point in having two versions of the same person.

    I personally see no problem with clone characters, but people keep insisting that everyone be unique this time around. Dr. Mario wilkl be nigh impossible to make unique from Mario. It's possible to differentiate the two Links by making one the Hero of Winds and one the one from Twilight Princess, but that'd still be redundant, as the current Link's moves are still common to both of them.

    I also voted for Pichu because he was worthless in SSBM, and is impossible to make better while sticking true to his character.
     
    GaW, Ic, and especially Ness. I know he was in SSB64, but I hate him!

    NOTE: Pikachu for top tier! have you seen his Fsmash? It has range!
     
    Ooooh no, not this kind of thread, no sir.
    I'm sick of people saying things like: PichU SuxorZ!!!111 He's a cl0nE!! He sh0uld be cut!!!, or Dr.Mario, and other clones should be removed!!11!!.
    It really takes a toll on your nerves after a while.
    I don't want ANY characters to be removed, or replaced at all, even Pichu.*gasps* And I also don't think that Sakurai is really going to remove any characters. Personaly, I think it was caused by that stupid Ice Climber/Young link/Mr G&W rumor. ;)

    I heard from somewhere that Pichu's Skull Bash is pretty strong when fully charged: possibly stronger than Pikachu's...

    Jigglypuff has some good combo moves like the "wall of pain", and he's pretty quick with ariel attacks. Not to mention that famous "event 51 winning" rest attack.
    I can't see them getting removed.
