So I was thinking about starting over after banking all my pokemon mostly because I bored but I was going to transfer a level 1 pokemon to be my starter other then the 3 you are given and just using him I was thinking Pikachu for nostalgia from pokemon yellow what do you think would be a fun starter?

Something difficult, like Unown. Or maybe something unexpected, like Beldum. Just a couple ideas.

I think you should do Eevee. It's always fun because you can plan out going any way you'd like. Basically, you plan your team around the evolution your Eevee will receive. However, I feel like if you do that then, it will evolve into Espeon or Umbreon before you can make that decision.

Hm… I would say Gastly. It would require you to trade in order to evolve it into Gengar, but that shouldn't be much of a hassle. It's not that hard to train, either. It's got immunity over ground, fighting, and normal Pokémon, too, which is a plus. :] Another one you could try is Togepi. This one is a little tough to battle with, but should make an excellent team member once it's tuned into Togekiss. Good luck!

How about choosing your first ever starter? Just for nostalgia. Or if you want to be really random just bring up a pokedex on screen shut your eyes and point. Throwing a dart might not work out too well for your screen :P

Or if you can get hold of a reasonably low level Mew, try with that? Pretty much the definition of the first pokemon. That would be fun and I think you can get them as low as level 7 iin trades, can't you?

I wouldn't want to make the game any easier if anything I would want to make it harder this gen was insanely easy to beat.

maybe an elektrike? It would be interesting...
