starter kit VX

    hi, im new so forgive me if this is the wrong place.

    i've looked everywhere and i cant seem to find a pokemon starter kit for RPG Maker VX.
    i only have the annoying postality knights version of rmxp, and i find the starter kit for rmxp difficult to use in that.

    all i really need is the battle system, everthing else i could do with events, but i havnt found one.

    can someone help me?
     
    Postality knights is illegal, there is no kit for VX.
     
    If you've bought VX (I doubt it), you can use the same activation code for the legal versio of XP...
     
    No one has made one yet, and I doubt anyone will for some time.
     
    poccil's SDK is compatible with VX. don't know how much of it though. >_>
     
    Are you sure? Because RMVX's and RMXP's scripting languages are not compatible with each other. So you wouldn't be able to do that much with it...

    Actually, they're basically the same. The reason that it doesn't work in VX is because VX has a completely different map editor, and the map files are stored in a different format. However, it is possible to run it with the RGSS2 Player, as long as you actually make the game in RMXP.
     
    the mapping isnt a problem, i just a battle system.
    ill try transfer the battlle system from poccil's, but my hoes in doing that arn't too high.

    i know that the postality version is illigal, but i use the rpg maker on a computer that has no internet connection, and every time i try using the legal version, i gat an nTiles error do to the lack of internet
     
    That actually is no real excuse to have Postality Knight's edition. If you tried a Google search to the effect of "RMXP ntitles no internet", you would have found a tutorial by me as the first result. It is at another forum, but it even has how to get RMXP on a computer with no internet. (Step 3) (Unfortunately, it does require that you give up your free trial, but, I assume you have an activation code for RMVX, which should activate RMXP as well)
     
    okay, ill use that.
    i tried transfering all the scripts from the starter kit, but i had to delete all but the battle system, but enven that uses phrases and terms that rmvx just doesnt have.
     
    It's because the battle system uses classes and methods defined in other parts of the scripts. You could try copying everything but the Tilemap classes, and keeping those from VX.
     
    i did, i did every possable combination, including useing my bleak scripting knwolage to change the data it reads, but it just won't work.

    i think i needs re writing :(

    i guess that renders this thred obsolite, but expect another noob thred very soo with lots of questions.
