Starter pokemon's type?

Of course, all of you may know the starter pokemon.
Ever since the 1st generation games, you could either have a fire type pokemon, water type pokemon or a grass type pokemon as your starter.

What if the starters were different?
What if the starters we're different pokemon types?
Would the game be easier?

I think the starters will always be these three types. It's their thing ^^

I've seen suggestions for making them Fighting, Dark and Psychic, since those three balance each other. Though not really, since psychic can't even hit dark types...

The only First-Stage Starter to have two types

Actually, steel/fire/ground wouldn't work. Fire does normal damage to ground, but it would have to do reduced damage to make a triangle.

Steel-fire-rock works though.

But yeah, I don't see the starter types changing any time soon. I can see them multityping them, as they have done in the past, but it is always going to be Fire Grass Water

were so used to this formula after so many years.
i hope instead of making another world the next time around--

they just combine all 4 leagues into one game.
and give you all the starters to choose from.

It is the perfect formula the way it is there is no formula that will work as good a fire water grass it should stay that way forever

I always grab the pokemon by their appereance. It's by coincidence that I always liked how the Fire-types look.​

there could a free choice of any pokemon for your started at whatever you choose your rival picks its weakness. but personaly i prefer fire water and grass i think it works well
