As the title suggests, im going to attempt to do one of the craziest things ive ever attempted.

A shiny living dex on the 3DS.

This isnt going to be easy. This is going to take me a very long time to do. Im already working on my first starter; cyndaquil. Im currently approximately 11700 reset in at elms lab, and still have yet to see any luck, i know i can use the shiny ditto glitch to make breeding easier later in the game, but for now i want to see how many shinies i can get without using any sort of exploits.

After cyndaquil gets found…hopefully within the next few months… i think im going for the geodude line, and the pidgey line. If anyone has any advice or suggestions on early game hunts (as this is where the next probably year of my life will be spent) please feel free to comment !

Will update when i pull cyndaquil

I've never bothered to shiny hunt much so I don't have any advice or anything to give you, but I wish you luck. Living shiny dex is one hell of a task to undertake!

Not sure if you can trade with gen 1 games. But if you can then trade a shiny to those games, encounter a wild Ditto, let it use Transform on that shiny Pokemon, catch it and then trade it to your gen 2 game. Not only do you get a shiny Ditto. But shiny odds for breeding are 1/64 iirc when when of the parents is shiny (traded or not _might_ also have an impact but I don't remember).
