Starting deck

    My son just started to play pokemon, his been collecting cards for a while but doesnt really have a decent deck.

    So what do I buy for his birthday, the 3 kalos starter decks or a couple of theme decks ? or something completely different.

    Depends on what his favorite Pokemon is. Do you know his favorite?
     
    I'd recommend a couple of theme decks. If his favorite is Garchomp, then it's worthwhile finding the DragonSpeed theme deck from Dragons Exalted and another one which isn't water/fighting. Technically Dragons Exalted isn't in rotation anymore (I don't think), but someone will have it.
