  • This is the facts:
    Charmander: The first and second gym may be hard, but the rest is kinda easy. the Elite Four can be a porblem though
    Bulbasaur: The first gyms are piece of cake, bu the last can be tough, the elite four shouldn't be a problem
    Squirtle: He's good in the gyms and pwns the Elite Four, I would pic him if I were you XP

    u shouldve chosen squritle because well later on in ther game venusaur will become useless and well i chose charmander but thats cuz hes my fav but squritle is the best because a water pokemon can beat grass and fire as long as it has an ice move

  • Here are some more facts though.
    Bulbasaur=able to find Entei only.
    Charmander=able to catch Suicune only.
    Squirtle=Raikou only.
    So if you chose Charmander you're gonna end up loking for Suicune.

  • I got Squirtle, and ALL the gyms were easy...and he pretty much destroyed the E4 by himself...I did not use one Full Restore, anything...just one Elixir...the only other Pokemon I used was Articuno for the Dragon Master, and Moltres for Gary's Venusaur...get Squirtle for sure.

    pick squirtle, usually water types don't have a lot of weaknesses and can last the entire game. you'll want to give up once you see brock's onix if you pick charmander, and with bulbasaur it's great early on but after that the types that are strong against grass/poison start to appear more often and it gets hard.

    didn't he already say he picked bulbasaur? anyway, the first pokemon you get doesn't matter that much. it'll only be one of the six on your team right? i personally don't use my starters in my teams anymore. but different strokes for different folks (as the saying goes). though personally, i would go with squirtle. i did in my first blue version and blastoise never once let me down (over 130 hours, always in my party, and he didn't faint once)

  • According to GameFAQS this is the way it goes.

    Bulbasaur-An easy game
    Squirtle-A normal game
    Charmander-A hard game.

    Don't blame me for this.Thats what GameFAQS said.

  • OK, I had all 3 and here's what i've noticed:
    -Bulbasaur(can't remember STATS...)
    Easy begining, gets harder in the long run(had problems with PP running out and Viridian Forest took forever).
    -Charmander(good Spd. & Sp.Atk.)
    Difficult begining, gets easy after 2nd badge(but Misty is real hard to beat).
    -Squirtle(good Def. & Sp.Def.)
    Nice, balanced game(cave Pok?mon and Hikers overcome effortlessly).

  • I would pick Squirtle because you can get Raikou later in the game, which is the best dog in my opinion.
