Stat Raising Guide
Some people don't have time to think about Stat Raising moves. Some just want to put moves that are only based to attack the opponent! Well, those people should start using Stat Raising moves! Before, I used to just use attacks, nothing that could raise my pokemon's stats. I thought that "Why do I need a stat raising move??? Their weak and useless!". But then again, that was a long time ago. Now, Stat Raising moves have helped my Drastically. So here's a guide to "Stat raising Moves".
How Stat Raising Moves Help
Stat Raising moves help by increase your stats, of course. Depending on what stat raising move you use, the different stat it raise. For example, say your Metagross that was used for exploding to take down heavy pokemon? But, sometimes you wouldn't have the opportunity for such an attack because your Metagross was to slow. Well, your in lucky. Metagross learns the attack "Agility". Agility boosts Metagross's speed up by 2 levels, which is pretty fast. Metagross then can pull off that explosion attack! Well, that's just how Stat Raising Moves help. Let me talk about some more ways Stat Raising Moves help.
----------------------------------------------------
Ways Stat Raising Moves are used
HP Raising Moves- None so far
Attack Raising Moves- Attack Raising moves are one of the deadliest Stat Raising moves out their. Certain moves such as Dragon Dance and Sword Dance used multiple times on the right pokemon, it could be over for you!
Defense Raising Moves- Defence Raising moves aren't ALL that used very many times anymore but they do come in useful every now and then. Moves such as Iron Defense or Acid Armor used multiple times can prevent many Phisical attacks like Earthquake and Rock Slide.
Speed Raising Moves- Some of the most popular speed raising moves would have to be Dragon Dance and Agility. If used correctly as well, the opponents pokemon can Outspeed your own and attack first which is a huge advantage.
Special Defense Raising Moves- Special Defense raising moves... Where to start. The main only ones every used are going to have to be... Calm Mind. But sometimes Psych Up can do the trick. It copies all stat changes the enemy has
Special Attack Raising Moves- Special Attack Raising moves, the same results and Special Defense Raising Moves. Calm Mind
Commonly Used Stat Raising Moves
Dragon Dance - Dragon Dance will be commonly used by a few pokemon out their, and boosts your atk and spd by 1 lvl. It's very good for physical sweepers such as Salamence
Sword Dance - Boosts atk by 2 lvls! Very strong if used correcly
Curse - Good for tanks such as snorlax, it lowers speed, but increases it's attack and defense
Calm Mind - Boosts your sp atk and def by 1 and is excellent for special sweepers out their such as alakazam, and others that may special sweep
Agility - Boosts speed by 2, but i'm not sure how this will work this generation
Amnesia - Boosts defense and special defense by 1 level very good for some tanks
Rock Polish - Rock Polish is a essential move for rock type pokemon such as Ramparudo. Anyway, what this is, is the rock type version of agility. Same thing, just works for rock type pokemon and high physical powered pokemon.
Tail Wind - This increases speed on the whole team, which is good. This is for slow pokemon, like most physical sweepers such as Tt-ar and mence, and well, alot more stuff. So yea.
Nasty Plot - Increases Sp. Atk by 2 stages. Again, sp. atk good for sp. sweepers. This is a very excellent move for those, so you may want to add this attack to your pokemon.

Common Counters To Stat Raising Pokemon
Well, Stat Raising pokemon sure are easy to counter sometimes. All you need is a good hazer such as Vaporeon, Weezing, and Crobot, pretty common. Although you might see Seviper. Another way is a pokemon that knows Roar and/or Whirlwind. All you have to do is use one of those moves and then BAM! All the stats have been roared/whirlwinded away.
Well, hope you liked my guide! Post any comments, I don't care about Negative ones. In my Opinion, this is a great guide.
