Hi guys. As you know, States is approaching fast and we all are trying to find the best deck to use, right? Well, just like you I've got that problem where I've got two good decks to use but you're too lazy to playtest. My first deck is Eelektrik Emboar Magnezone Reshiram Zekrom, and my second deck is Yanmega Virizion Zekrom Elekid Tyrogue Reuniclus Leavanny. At first, I was going to use EelBoarZone, but when my school went on a week long break, I decided to build another deck, and this second deck turned out better that I thought.

    EelBoarZone

    24 Pokemon
    4-4 Eelektrik for Dynamotor
    3-1-2 Emboar for Inferno Fandango
3-2-3 Magnezone for Lost Burn almost guaranteed OHKO
1-1 Reshi and Zekrom backup attackers

    19 T/S
1 Energy Retrieval to get back fire energy
    1 Eviolite for Reshiram Zekrom
4 Junk Arm to reuse trainers
3 Max Potion to wipe out damage and to give Lightning for Dynamotor
1 Pokemon Catcher self explanitory (only 1 because most of the time I can OHKO the active)
    2 Rare Candy for Stage2s
    1 Cilan for Inferno Fandango
    1 Pokemon Collector for basics
    2 PETM self for evolutions
3 Professor Juniper for more Dynamotoring

    17 Energy
    11 Fire for Inferno Fandango
6 Lightning for Dynamotor and Magnezone

My sniper deck that I have no clever name for yet

    23 Pokemon
1-1 Yanmega for bench sniping for free
2 Virizion NV for a decent 2nd turn 80 damage
1 Virizion EP for damage healing attack and 100 damage attack
2 Elekid for Bench sniping and 50% chance of prevented damage after attacking
3 Zekrom for Outrage (after Reuniclus's Damage Swap) and Bolt Strike to finish off the opposing active
    1 Tyrogue for baby Donking
2-2 Accelgor NV for an easy 60 on 1 energy and for the other attack, 50% chance of discarding energy on opposing active
2-1-2 Reuniclus BW for damage Swap
1-1-1 Leavanny NV for protection against weakness but not a priority.

    25 T/S
3 Dual Ball for basics (more exciting than collector)
4 Junk Arm for trainer re-usage
2 Max Potion for damage removal (first damage swap onto Pokémon with no energy, then use for best results)
2 Plus Power for extra damage
3 Pokemon Communication for different Pokemon
    2 Rare Candy for stage2s
2 Black Belt for slow setup and +40 damage
    1 Copycat for Yanmega
    1 Judge for Yanmega
    3 PETM for evolutions
2 Twins lol for the extra 2 cards when slow setup

    12 Energy
    2 DCE for Zekrom's Outrage
    2 Rescue for Pokémon re-usage
5 Grass for Accelgor and Virizion
    3 Lightning for Zekrom

So, guys, tell me what deck you think I should use for states, and then when I find the most votes, I'll modify my deck a little more based on your critique. thanks! (my hands are tired from flipping cards and typing...)

oh, one more thing. could you guys help me come up with a name for my second deck? the best i could do is MegaVEZTA, which is incredibly weird.

With the "magneboar" and eels, you might want to up your rare candy, even though you have 4 junk arm. Rescue energy is always nice to add in... And you might need to add in switch because Emboar is huge catcher bait.

For the snipe deck, dual ball is nice, but collector guarantees 3 basic Pokemon while dual ball could possibly fail... I'd up your yanmega count, because you might have it prized... Also more copycat, judge and maybe even N for disruption.

    Good luck at states!

My bad, I was barely awake when I posted it. If you're happy with both decklists, sweet! If I were to choose between the two, I'd choose the magnezone emboar eels deck...

The MagneBoar with Eels deck is kinda autopilot so it'd definitely be the easiest and most consistent to run.

Though that ZekMega deck is a little more unorthodox and could be an interesting play.

I'd personally go for the Magneboar one since the line lists are thicker and therefore far more consistent, so you know exactly what your goal is and how you're going to go about it. Though it could definitely use one more Rare Candy.

Thanks, guys. The EelZoneBoar deck is my fave, too. My only problem is that I'm having a lot of trouble getting all my energy and stage 2s out on the field, even when I played 4 rare candy and 3 PETM. Can you help me modify this deck so I can get set up faster? Thanks. So, now that I know that I'm probably going to use for states, I could use some help on the SniperWhatever deck as well.

Put more Pokemon Communication and Pokemon Collector in there. Even if it's a dead draw late game, you want 3 to 4 Pokemon Collector since you absolutely would want it in the early going. And 4 Communication makes it more likely that you can use one of those basics you fetch to swap for the evolved form you need. I vastly prefer Communication to PETM since PETM takes up a supporter slot.
