Hey guys, I was just wondering, would you prefer a team with a stat advantage over a team with a type advantage?

Competitively they both go hand in hand.

As far as In-Game having the Type advantage is always the way to go =)

if you said for me, i'll choose type advantage if the battling Pokémons have the same level.
but actually, they both do hand in hand, just as what Champloo said.

Of the two, type variantion causes a greater power dissonance in one side's favour, as 150vs50; statistic variation is more akin to being 150v100 with no advantage taken of weaknesses. Types are also much easier to exploit.

Well. n00bs like to go with stats [that's why they have 999 stat GS/AR codes].
However, most people know to combine them.
A team with 6 different-typed Pokémon with terrible stats is worth less than a team with 4 different-typed Pokémon with EV Training.
    It's that simple.
    You can't choose one.

Both are important to me. Also, this can apply to all games, so it's being moved.

    I prefer stats 4 strongs!

But I guess it kinda goes with type too. Competatively, you HAVE to to have type advantage, but in game, anything works, (hence type run throughs).

I don't really get EVs I just try to have as much type advantage as possible. I know a bit about how to use a Pokémon's highest base stats but I prefer type advantage as I'm an all power attack trainer with the ocassional stat. move thrown in :P
