Ok, my friends and I are gonna get together and have a gym leader tournament. Basically all that means is we can only use one type of pokemon. And as you can guess from the title, I got steel. So I want to know is this the best steel team I could get (covering as many different roles possible)

    Metagross@Life Orb
    Adament Nature
    EVs: 252 Atk, 152 HP, 104 Spd
    -Agility
    -Meteor Mash
    -Earthquake
    -Zen Headbutt

    Skarmory@Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Atk
    -Spikes
    -Whirlwind
    -Drill Peck
    -Roost

    Lucario@Expert Belt
    Modest Nature
EVs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
    -Aura Sphere
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Dark Pulse
    -Agility

    Empoleon@Leftovers
    Calm Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 152 Sp Def, 104 Sp Atk
    -Surf
    -Grass Knot
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk

    Forretress@Leftovers
    Relaxed Nature
    EVs: 252 HP, 184 Def, 72 Atk
    -Rapid Spin
    -Stealth Rock
    -Gyro Ball
    -Explosion

    Scizor@Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    EVs: 252 HP, 164 Atk, 92 Def
    -X-Scissor
    -Agility
    -Swords Dance
    -Baton Pass

Movesets are fine, Watch out for pretty much all Sp sweepers :/ Most of ur pokes have very bad Sp def, and empoleon can probably get 2 hit KOd by T-bolt.

The idea is that hopefully Scizor can get enough Agilities to Metagross/Lucario that they can out speed the Special Sweepers and hopefully KO them... if not well you know the rest

Well if you bothered to read, this isn't for competitive reasons outside of my group of friends. And I'm also guessing that you are gonna beat my team by hoping Focus Blast hits most of the time. Right

Sure T-bolt takes care of both the walls, so maybe I should go for an Earthquake on Forry and use him against electric threats, or prehaps switch one to Magnezone to give more of a neutralization effect

Well if they normally come from the Sp Sweepers, would it be a good idea to give Magnezone Mirror Coat? Probably a +Sp Def nature and a decent chunk of EVs as well just to make sure I can get a mirror coat off

But yeah if I do switch to Magnezone I would like ideas on it, as well as who to replace in my team (possibly Scizor)

    Magnezone@Leftovers/Focus Sash
    -Thunderbolt
    -Mirror Coat
    -Thunderwave
    -Tri Attack

As you can tell I don't really have a lot of knowledge when it comes to Magnezone

The reason why steel teams are a little bit obsolete this generation is because of Infernape, and since it is one of the most common pkmn in battles...

Every mono team is obselete, but this is just for fun. And yes Infernape is my teams worst nightmare due to his STABs being super effective against all my team. But then again Agility BPed Empoleon might be able to nail a Surf before being KOed

You probably need a special wall. Probopass.

As for the weaknesses, you can just switch out.

Yes, but with no pokemon that can resist his weaknesses doesn't really sound like a good idea to me (Skarmory can, but what if it is out already)

Maybe, but that would only work if Scizor is holding a focus shash.

Probopass is supposed to be a Special Wall. most Fighting Type and Ground type Moves are physical. So Probopass is a good choice.

    my gengar sweeps this team....

    Your Gengar.

    "Gengar @Choice scarf
    Levitate
    Timid (+SPD -ATK)
    EVS:252 SPD,SPATK and 6 Defense
    Focus Blast
    Thunderbolt
    Psychic
    Shadow Ball"

    Gengar vs Metagross

    Gengar used Focus Blast

    Metagross used Stabbed Zen Headbutt.

    Metagross wins.

Bronzorg is worth good considersation. The same goes with Steelix and Jirachi.

Though Bronzorg would be best out of them.

    Bronzorg @ Light Clay
    Impish/Brave
    EV" 252 HP 200 Def 52 Atk
    -Gyro Ball
    -Trick Room
    -Explosion
    -Light Screen
