What's the difference between "Po-keh-mon" and "Po-kay-mon"? I pretty much pronounce them the same way. But "kuh" is easiest for me XD So I suppose it's the accent. But I pronounce "evolution" the American way because of Pokemon XD
I didn't know there was an American way of saying evolution. Anywho, I always thought that the correct way of saying Pokémon was "Pok-eh-mon" since in Spanish I pronounce the "é" like that. It might not be but I like that they don't set them straight by correcting them or whatever. It just sounds more realistic for reasons that I might've said already but I'm not too sure of.Yeah, it might be that, but it might just be the voice actors preferred way of saying it because I can't really see them telling the voice actors to deliberately pronounce it different ways. But then, I'm not a voice director, so who knows. I remember Dogasu saying something about the way they all pronounced Pachirisu differently when it first appeared. Apparently, the English way of pronouncing evolution is "eee-volution", a long "e" sound. I don't like it, but perhaps it's just because I'm used to Pokemon haha. I didn't really learn that until last year XD I have no idea about the Spanish way, but I've heard it's the closest way of pronouncing it to the Japanese version.
