    Have you fight with Steven? Do you think he's good enough to be a elite four member?

    Steven was an alarmingly powerful ingame opponent for me, the first time I had battled him ever, I got my face ripped right off...why couldn't he have been the E4 champ instead of wallace? wallace was a pushover for me lol.

    Live everyone else here, I found Steven to be quite difficult. When I'd first fought him, only good Pokémon I had on my team was Blaziken (rest were just fillers), and while it was able to get through a lot of his Pokémon with fire- and fighting-type attacks, it was still taken down with moves like Earthquake and whatnot. To get him, it had taken me about six attempts.

    He definitely wasn't so hard to beat in R/S. Although like Endless, omg those Earthquakes. They were really powerful back in the day, and the only REAL good thing you could use against it was a Pokémon with Levitate or like a Flygon.

    And in Emerald, he definitely got harder. Back then I didn't even know if he was actually battleable later post-game, but I eventually found out he was somewhere in the Solrock/Lunatone cave (oops i forgot what it was called) and I literally got destroyed the first time I battled him. Kinda expected, to be honest. His team was like 10 levels higher. Not a big big deal, but still really annoying. After around like 100 attempts, RNG was on my side and I managed to win by luck. I still to this day don't even know how the hell I got so stupidly lucky. I was so dumb back then! x)

    Yeah, I definitely remember that since I solo'd with Blaziken also. I think my only solution was to train Blaziken up until it only overpowered him by level. xD That's what I did with Sceptile, since none of its attacks were super-effective against Steel-types, it was just lv 100 so things went down pretty quick.

    Steven was really powerful on my first play through. Probably one of my most difficult Pokemon battles next to Sabrina and Cynthia. I never new at that time Metal Types were useful or even powerful. Steven deserves to be Champion, it would be an awesome fight in the upcoming Hoenn Remakes. It would be better if they tweak his team so Blaziken can't sweep him. {XD}
