Out of all the pokemon that are not legends in the Anime and Movies rather being owned by any of the main cast, rivals, villains, COTD, or wild pokemon who do you think demonstrated the greatest strength and why?

Cynthia Garchomp - From the appearances I have seen from her Garchomp it has handled it's opponents handily, considering it virtually swept Paul team which I am sure would have 6-0 him if he hadn't gave up at that point. She also was show battling the other Elite Four members and didn't have too much problems handling them. As well with the battles again Team Galactic.

Alder Bouffalant - Bouffalant at times virtually fought Pikachu on it's own without the commands of Alder, especially considering he was sleeping. If he can battle to the degree he did, and with out commands from Alder then that seems to demonstrate itself strength to me. Not to mention most of the time, it was taking attacks over and over and still dishing it out. Who knows how powerful it would be if Alder was taking it semi seriously.

Ash Charizard - Many people regard this as Ash strongest pokemon, but is it the strongest pokemon we have seen thus far? It has many pivotal victories against the likes of Magmar, considerably weakened Drake Dragonite(after defeating his Electabuzz), it's Flamethrower was comparable to Moltres in Power of One, beat Falkner Pidgeot, defeated 3 of Gary pokemon (which it had typing disadvantages against two of them), went toe to toe with Harrison Blaziken which it narrowly lost to, beat Noland Articuno, although it lost to Dusclops it still has proven to be one hell of a poke. Perhaps Ash strongest, but the strongest of all?

Ash Snorlax - Snorlax may not have legendary defeats in his book but he has still managed to compile various number of victories in his tenure with Ash. Won the Sumo Conference, beat Clair Kingdra, took out Gary Arcanine and Nidoqueen, Defeated Harrison Hypno and Steelix, he was the sole reason Ash won his Guts Symbol defeated both her Hariyama and Medicham.

Ash Pikachu - I can see Pikachu to have just as immense strength as anyone, but it tends to suffer from resets by the writers as is Ash. It has numerous notable victories the ones that come to mind on top are against legendaries Regice and Latios, he is important in all or most of Ash major victories. As earlier stated he is a victim of the writers. Making him lose to a Panpour and Snivy(new obtained at that) in recently memory.

Harrison Blaziken - Although we haven't really seen much from him he did defeat Ash Charizard which in my eyes makes him one of the strongest pokemon we have seen. Harrisons victory depended so much on Blaziken which is a key reason as to why he did not win Silver Conference.

There are many other notable pokemon so who's it going to be for you?

For me, Ash's Charizard, Snorlax, AND Sceptile are his strongest Pokemon. However, I think Cynthia's Garchomp and Adler's Bouffalant are clear contenders for "strongest regular Pokemon in the series."

I agree with both of you guys that Charizard can be considered as Ash's strongest Pokemon. However, Infernape also come to my mind. It had a magnificent battle with Volkner's Luxray, despite taking much damage. It could be really scary once Blaze is activated.

Also, Heracross is a real powerhouse. It managed to put up its own fight against a legendary (Toby's Darkrai), and was only defeated due to Dream Eater.

Cynthia's Garchomp is the real deal. :)

Paul's Electrivire and Tobias's Darkrai are strong also.

    Darkrai is legendary xD

Cynthia's Garchomp is scary good. It wiped the floor with Paul and his Pokemon, so it certainly earns my vote.

Also, Sir Aaron's Lucario from the movie "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew" was pretty strong too, since it did hold back the three Regi's on mostly its own. Too bad it never had a real battle, so it's hard to judge.

Tyson's Meowth was also considerably strong when it battled, outclassing Pikachu in every way pretty much.

I think that Cynthia's Garchomp is rather strong, due to the reasons given. Ash's Sceptile comes in close because it defeated Tobias' Darkrai, a first-time feat in the anime.

I do agree Ash Sceptile is one heck of a pokemon. But I take away a bit from the victory against Darkrai cause as mentioned earlier, Heracross did a hell of a job softening up Darkrai, as well as a little help from Gible as well. Still Sceptile did do what no on else did in Lily of the Valley which was take Darkrai out, and I have to give him major props for that.

I'd like to see more out of Infernape before I can making a ruling on him. I dunno if I would say utilizing Blaze in the situations he does goes against him, or if he is utilizing the abilities dealt to him. I mean if you have Blaze then more power too you I suppose. I would like to see some more signature wins from Infernape. It took out 3 of Paul pokemon including Electivire, which ranks it pretty high in my books. It seems to have a stellar gym record as well. I am definitely looking forward to future battle with this monkey. Hopefully it gets to rank among those who defeated a legend cause I believe this guy can do just that if put to the challenge.

Tyson Meowth <3, although compared to some of the guys mentioned I don't know how well he would fair.

Since we mentioned Paul Electivire(which was impressive), I am more impressed by his Drapion. The thing handled Ash pokemon like a pro taking out Buizel, Starapator, and Torterra.

Also this pokemon may get over looked for being in Chronicles, but Silver Salamence put up one heck of a match against Moltres. So I have to give Kudos to Salamence.

Sorry, I forgot that don't legendaries.

Paul's Electrivire: Have always been strong against Ash's Pokémon.

Cynthia's Garchamp: Have already said but it's so strong and Garchamp won Paul Pokémon without fainting.

Cynthia's Garchomp no doubt. Have you seen the sweeps?! No one stood a chance against it, in fact I don't remember seeing it faint for once.....Cynthia was the reason I started admiring that Pokemon...and because of that, no matter what game, Garchomp is a main Part of the team.

I would have loved it if you added Infernape Kenshin, as you said it reached high on your book...and it reached even higher in mine.

Well, I'm going to jump the gun and go for Garchomp, mainly due to the fact that it hadn't lost a single battle we saw it in. Cynthia to me, including many of the other champions are note worthy Mary Stu characters, which does come into how her Garchomp was handled, and I just loved that fight against Flint's Infernape in the last episode of DP. I don't think we've seen the full extent of Alder's Bouffalant.

Only thing with the sweep is two out of the four were stage 1. Although Paul did say he had Murkrow since Johto irrc.

And eh I would probably rate him a bit higher if I saw most of his signature matches first hand, since I personally have only sampled bits and pieces of Sinnoh thus far(which is the only Saga I have yet to watch in it's entirety). The matches I have seen though he shines be it Infernape, Monferno, Chimchar. I'd put him in the same class of Sceptile slighly below Pikachu(albeit inconsistent), as well as Charizard and Snorlax.

As for Alder Bouffalant I think everyone could tell it was holding back. Definitely strongest we have seen in Unova thus far, since Pikachu did make Excadrill work for it's victory. Not to mention Iris was going out in as hard as Ash. Alder was like mah were having a battle? I'd be interested to see Alder Volcarona(if that does ever happen), cause I have a feeling that would definitely be a contended for the top spot of strongest.
