Stuff about the TV show you find hard to believe.

Something hard to believe? It's hard to believe that Team Rocket can be electrocuted and thrown off into the distance hundreds of times and LIVE.

Good thing they've got that insurance.

Meowth: Wat insurance?

Psyduck: Psyduck!

The movies do not connect to the TV series. The TV series can connect to the movies (ala Mewtwo) but that's been the only time so far. He never actually said he "met" Suicune. He saw Suicune and pointed out that that was the one he saw in the first Johto episode. The movie throws things out of whack.

And what's so hard to believe about animated characters living from several things you couldn't survive through in real life? They're cartoony-like. If real life rules applied to animation, Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck would be long dead after having been shot in the face so many times. >_>

However, in the Lugia TV trilogy, Ash does mention seeing one before (dub invention, perhaps but significant). Also, in an OI episode, Tracey sketches an Elekid.

In any case, the movies and show are designed in such a way that you can watch one or the other and still get entertainment value from them. Of course, the hope is you'll watch both and get more out of each of them.

By the way, "How Pokemon (Really) Works is up and availible on PPN.

Definately dub, although I don't see what Elekid has to do with anything. If you're referring to the 2nd Pikachu movie, that's ridiculous since all the Pok?mon were FAR from the humans. Plus Kenji had just the head portion done. It was mainly just another sneak peak before Gold/Silver came out, especially since it was only a few months away.

I do admire how 4Kids tries to keep things intertwined with each other, past show events or movies (although a rarity).

Team Rocket's either extremely lucky on all their falls or they have something that would break it (i.e. Wobuffet.)

I can't really comment on the legendaries through the movies (at this point, I've only seen the first three.) I find hard to believe, however, that there's more than just one of each legendaries. Most noticably Lugia and possibly Zapdos and Articuno. I thought what makes them legendary is the fact that there's only one of them in the world.

Possible, but the real story here is, as I said, is the interdependece yet independence of the two. They're independent enough to see one or the other without being completely confused. However, they draw upon the same overall scenario and a similar character base, so you'll get more out of each if you see both.

I find it odd how you can have an Onix in your pokeball and it doesn't weigh 612lbs. XD It's just kinda odd. And Snorlax?! Yipe! Ash must be some sort of super-hero to lug that Pokemon on his waist all over Kanto. XD

Rather simple. The Pok?mon's turned into energy when inside the Monster Ball.

Yes, but back in the episode when Ash caught Muk way back when he was in Kanto, the Muk's stenchy smell went through the Pok?ball.

Well, it took me a while to get over the fact that Tate (one of the Mossdeep City Gym Leaders) is male.

My life was ruined when I saw the episode before the Mossdeep Gym Battle...and yet I enjoyed it.

Tate is a boy!!?! In the game Tate's a girl cuase someone says Tate and Liza are sisters. And how can grass pokemon have an infinate supply of leaves for Razor Leaf??

Uh, Fuu and Ran are brother/sister twins in the Japanese versions of the anime AND the games. o_O Wouldn't be the first time a mistranslation was made to the games..such as nearly every attack being changed to a different name (like Hop being changed to Splash or Sky Jump to Fly).

Notice how this only applied ONCE and was never brought up again. Even when close to Muk, its stench seems to have vanished.

I figured that out right from when I saw Tate/Fuu/Nyuu (my cat name for him) and Liza/Ran/Nyan (cat name) battle in that episode before the gym battle...

It ruined my life... and yet, I enjoyed it. Too bad 4Kids won't let us in on the insanity known as uncut and subbed Pocket Monsters...
