How often do you change up your style? For whatever kind of art you do. Does anything prompt a major shift? Does your style vary pretty heavily between media? What styles are you most fond of, and do you use them yourself or admire them while doing a different thing? idk just talk about styles and how they apply to you gogogo

I don't change up my style, like, ever. As someone who mainly pixels pokemon sprites, I always try to imitate the pokemon style. I don't really step out of that area, mainly because I'm not very experienced with any other form of art.

I have a blend of anime and western for my drawing style. It doesn't get changed often, just adapts to my skill level as it develops over time. I looked at a drawing of some OCs I made about a year ago and immediately I knew that they needed a redesign because I started out a terrible artist and I guess now I', a decent artist at least. Pretty much the same style for all human characters. Some samples here.

How did I not see this thread before? o.O

Anyway, I'm sure some of you will have seen in my gallery, I tend to switch up the style quite a bit, depending on the render given to me and what I feel like doing. I'm not overly consistent in what I do and I try to keep it diverse, giving myself plenty of room to work on the next piece that comes in.

to be honest, i think my art style is pretty consistent. i tend to like very bright art and cute texts. i think the only thing that may have switched up a bit is my tag style (i'm not very good at making tags lol).

I like to think that I don't have one specific style, but a range of styles which do happen to share similar traits to each other (like I'll tend to render things in a similar way no matter what I do). I've gone from uber-cutesy stuff to more naturalistic stuff, and it really depends both on what I feel like doing at the time, as well as what I want the tone of the piece to be.

Although I guess my slightly cartoony/anime-inspired style tends to be the default for me if I'm just drawing whatever and not really thinking much of things.
