Subtitled Pok?mon...?!?

    Subtitled Pok?mon...?!?


    Hmm, does anyone know if there's any subtitled versions of Pok?mon? I want to see the originals so bad. I had downloaded like...the 20th episode where Ash challenges one of the gym leaders of the Advanced season online, but, it's all in Japanese and I can only understand a few words now and then. There is a petition I signed for subtitled eps (https://ryoshuu.com/onegai), but I was wondering if there still were any floating around.
     
    I believe our IRC channel has them, I'm not positive though. Anyone gotten them from it?
     
    i have like umm... 2 pokemon ag high qalitys on a dvd i burned but the eps are 222 meg each!!! i forgot the website... and i also have the porygon clip also i got the first movie subbed (low quality- 2 parts 43 meg each.) from the same website. i member it illn tell.
     
    Mognet Fansubs (www.mognet.net) 12 episode of AG subbed. Excalibur Fansubs (It has a website but it is down) has the first 10 episodes. No Yen Fansubs originally planned to sub episode for #free_pokemon, but from what I've heard they only dub movies and specials (like the porygon episodes) nowadays.

    It's been a long time since any of the three groups has subbed any new episodes of Pokemon AG. They have most likely stopped the fansubbed since AG is licensed in the US.

    Not nessisarily. Because every now and then, there is a fan who simply does not like the English version. It's very rare. *sigh* That's why you have to grab the Japanese versions before people on IRC get rid of them. n.n()

    Most of the files I have are raw Japanese since I don't need subtitles. n.n()() There are allot of fansubs in #F_P, though. You have to wait patiently, but eventually they release what you're looking for. Otherwise, I know of a few sites that sell bootleg DVDs. They are only of the movies, though.

    You?re so blessed, not having to wait for subtitles. ^_^; Learning another language is fascinating, especially when you know the best one of all, Japanese. o.o;

    i like the japanese verisons better myself too. :P the japanese voices for some reason, they have more soul/emotion within them that i don't usually find in english dubbing.

    I think the reason behind that is becasue the Japanese seiyuu are all gathered into the recording studio at the same time, so they kind of get the idea of how their characters are going to react with one another.

    In America, the voice actors are handed some lines, put into a room by themselves without even getting to see the footage for themselves before hand. This, as I understand causes allot of problems.

    Kairi: Yes, it really gives you an advantage. Even if your not completely fluent, I think you can do without them. Especailly since the diologue in Pokemon is so, well... simplistic. n.n-

    O_O;; wow, that must be difficult for the english voice actors...the guy just hands them the script and they're just in a room?! no film, no footage...wow...
     
    Well, it's not entirely that difficult. The voice-actors, at least in the studio for Pokemon, can request a recording of the Japanese seiyuu as the character they're going to play and listen to it--so they can get the feel of how their character is like and their tone of voice and yadda yadda...^_^ I believe they get their scripts prior to the recording and rehearse it on their own time, too. I know that the Sailor Moon voice-actors sometimes had their lines roll across the screen as the visual footage of their character is "acting" so they can tell what emotion to put into the voice as the line is delivered.

    I can recognize, sit soul demon yes hello towel and 1-10. Am I good to go? ^_^;;;

    Yeah, I hear how they do their acting on the 4ever interview, too bad Heroes DVD doesn?t have one to my knowledge. =\ I believe Meowth?s voice actor pays attention the originals.

    Yessu. I have allot of respect for his voice actor. Unlike the others, he actually tries to keep with Nyaasu's character even though the people who rewrite his lines have destroyed it completely. X.o() The commentary was really interesting. I would have rented the dub if there was one on the Horoes DVD. n.n()

    Imakuni?: There isn't an episode with Imakuni? as far as I know. n.n()
