Suggestion : Homepage

Well, I've seen a few forums with one of these..

For example, when you go to www.pokecommunity.com,
it wont go to the forum, but like a little homepage, but its still in the forum layout..
here, you can put announcements and events for people to easilier (even a word?) see.

If you want the link to the forum with it, reply and ill PM because, im not sure if the forums viewable by people, or if its advertisement, or whatever.

I think that would be a bit annoying for regular users, don't you think?
Announcements are placed on top.. they are hard to miss.
So I don't really think it's a good idea.

PC already has community sites which act as the main websites.

He didn't mean a full-blown website. Judging from "it wont go to the forum, but like a little homepage, but its still in the forum layout..", I'd say he meant a portal add on.
